She paused, and walked over to him. She dropped a half eaten bag of jelly beans on his lap. "I'm sorry." She said.

Terrance thought for a moment. "Maybe we can get some people to bring you back to camp. You didn't ask to be on this quest."

She paused, and then looked at him. "I... What?" She looked alarmed.

Not from you. “I’m ok, thanks though.”

She nodded. "Ok."

Oh, she absolutely did (get scooped up, that is). She almost died, was saved by the group, and accidentally joined the quest.

"You don't have to do this if you don't want to."

"But... I like you guys. If I left, I'd just be feeling constant dread, not knowing if you were dead or alive." She said. "That's worse than small pockets of fear."

“I hope none of us do. But I hoped that last time too.” He seizes Jenny’s hand tightly.

@Lunamor

Ed must be thinking about Kylee. Jenny hugged him from the side, hoping that she could comfort him somewhat. She was now doubly afraid of dying on the quest. Having to lose someone he cared about twice would make it even worse for Ed.

I’m about to go back to class so I probably won’t be able to respond for a few hours.

Terrance sighed.

Elsie continued to pace. "Alright. So. We're headed to the underworld to steal from her dad," Elsie pointed at Jenny, "because he stole from Zeus. But, then, why doesn't Zeus steal it back? It seems like the sort of thing you'd wanna do yourself, right? And why are we specifically going? Something about a priestess, right? Can someone elaborate on that please?"

"Zeus can't get it back himself because gods don't like to do things themselves. That's what they have half-bloods for. To go on quests, to do for them things that would be taboo to do themselves. Like stealing the bolt in the first place."

She paused and took a second to process. "Are you saying that someone stole for Hades, and then dropped it off at the underworld?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

"That's what we think."

"Wow." She said. "What happens if we all die? Do they send another group?"

"I don't know, but I don't think it's likely. We got a prophecy for this quest."

Alright.

He hugged her back. He tried to force the memories from his mind, but wasn’t successful.

"There was a prophecy. That's pretty often the cause of a quest, I think."

"Your telling me there are people who can see the gosh darned future?" She said, shocked. She paused. "What was the prophecy?"

"Not people, exactly. The Oracle. But she's been dead for a while. I don't know what it was, exactly."

"She'd dead? So, did she write a bunch of letters, and then put them in dated envelopes for people to open when a quest is supposed to happen, or what?"

"No, she speaks, I think..."
