She frowned. "But Jenny said you need specific weapons to fight them. All I got is this." She said, fishing a swiss army knife out of her pocket. It looked like it had seen better days. And it had the name Jerry Richards on it.

“We didn’t bring any extra weapons, but I’m sure we can figure something out. Maybe you’ve got some offensive powers.”

She looked at the knife closely. It would hardly count as even a regular weapon. Elsie must’ve been terrified while she was alone.

"I have absolutely no idea! I stole it from a garage sale." She said. "I figured I needed something after... Well, yeah, I just figured I needed something." She finished awkwardly.

Elsie must’ve run away for a reason. Hopefully her family was ok. Having a demigod for a kid was dangerous. Jenny wasn’t sure what else to say, so she stayed silent. She wanted to ask for some crickets, but couldn’t tell how sad Elsie was feeling. She tried to awkwardly pat her on the back in case she wasn’t feeling good.

Jenny nodded, relieved. That was good.

”I am a bit interested in hearing the story, but it’s ok if you’d rather not share it. I promise I won’t judge you if you do.”

Gods knew Jenny had too many embarrassing tales to tell about herself to do that. She attempted to give a reassuring smile and leaned on Ed a bit, still tired from the healing process.

He leaned on her in return. He felt more and more comfortable with her the longer they were together. He was very happy that she was doing the talking for the most part, he was bad at it.

roy who was fightning on the outher side of the cyclops so that edgar, jenny and the others did not see him fight the cyclops. after it poofed into smoak he saw the cyclopses skull lying there. thinking that he was the one who did all the work he bent over to pick it up.

“Hey, Roy? I think that skull is Ed’s, since he killed the cyclops.”

Jenny squinted to get a better look at the skull, then noticed a glint of metal nearby.

”Oh, I forgot about Sword!”

She slowly stood up, then hobbled over and scooped up her dagger. She checked it over to make sure there wasn’t any damage. It seemed fine, thankfully. Being embedded in the top of the cyclops’s foot had prevented the monster from stepping on it.

“I’m pretty sure it died when Ed stabbed it in the gut. Maybe you didn’t see that, since he was on the opposite side.”

Perhaps Jenny could resolve this peacefully. Now was not a good time for an argument. She sheathed Sword carefully, wary that Roy could explode with anger again but not wanting to provoke him.

Jenny took a step in Elsie’s direction, intending to make sure she wasn’t attacked, try and pet the crow, and ensure not all of the crickets were fed to the bird. She stopped herself, however. She couldn’t leave Ed with Roy. He needed her as backup. Glancing between Elsie and the two boys, Jenny was visibly fidgety.

Jenny’s attention was immediately diverted to the crow. She’d always loved crows- they felt like creatures of death, too. She cautiously approached, then slowly reached out her hand, attempting to very gently pet the bird.

The crow allowed it. "Did you know that crows are actually family oriented? They are corvids, and are extremely smart. If humans suddenly died out, I think they would probably become the planet's dominant species." Elsie said, happy.
