Jenny had seen the line quit moving and a hint of something dissolving, so she assumed that Ed had killed the basilisk. Her grin widened. He had needed a win.

She wasn’t sure what was wrong with Terrance. Had he been bit?

”Do you need some ambrosia, Terrance?”

Jenny pulled out a square and prepared to chuck it in his direction, just in case.

Terrance looked over at the remaining basilisk, but couldn't bring himself to move. His hands still shook, so he shoved them into his pockets and looked down.

"Is that all of the basilisks gone." Aaron yells, straining to still keep Jenny up in the air, using his gifts. Sweat beaded on his head, and he heavedin exhaustion. No one knows the strength both mentally and physically to control plants.

Jenny glanced over at Aaron and noticed that he was sweating a lot. Did using his powers tire him out? Using her powers tired her out. And he’d been unusually sleepy that day.

”I think Roy’s still dealing with one, but it’s probably fine to put me down!”

She then let out a hiss of air through her teeth when she realized her wound had broken slightly open again from all of the yelling she’d done during the fight. It didn’t feel like it was “super dangerous, I need to drink gorgon blood or I’ll die” bad, but it was certainly painful.

Aaron groaned, as he slowly lowered the plants, releasing his control over them. I have never used my powers so much in such a short period of time. His mind seems to beat like it's own drum, pounding into his skull. Jenny slowly gets set on the ground, from her loft. He releases his final control over the plants, and a black weight hits him, tyring to drag him into unconsciousness again. No, there is still danger.

Jenny really needed to keep her voice down. She plopped down as carefully as she could. She then scooted so that her back was up against the tree and held Sword out in front of her with a shaking hand. She wanted to be prepared if more basilisks showed up.

Looking briefly down at her side, she decided to change her bandages once the threat was gone. They’d gotten too red. Hopefully Ed had plenty extra.

Jenny pressed her non-Sword hand against her side and grimaced. Her Sword arm faltered, so she let it drop. There was no chance she’d stab a basilisk before it could bite her, anyways.

She‘d was gonna be ok. Ed was there to protect her. He’d keep her safe. Her job now was to not fall asleep, which was a much harder task at the moment than it normally was.

Jenny grabbed the bandages, then looked down at her side and took a deep breath. As quickly as she could, she unwrapped her old bandages and applied the new ones. Her eyes stung with tears during the whole process. Jenny’s poor shirt was now ruined even further beyond repair. That was two sets of outfits destroyed so far.

Jenny nodded, quickly taking the painkillers once she could wash them down with water. They didn’t help very much, but it was at least something. She considered pinching herself to try and help stay awake but realized she probably wouldn’t notice the pinching at this point.

“Ok, good. My family had a lot of snakes around before I…left. I was often the one that killed them, and the shovel was the method we used.”

The last part was said a bit apprehensively. Jenny knew that subject could be a sore spot for a lot of demigods, and Ed hasn’t volunteered any information about it yet. She briefly glanced at Terrance, then decided to leave him alone. He didn’t seem to like talking to people.
