“I’ve got plenty of daggers, it’s fine. The poison should last anywhere from one to fifteen minutes. It really depends on where the dart hits them. It works the longest if I can align it with a vein. Normally the poison would incapacitate you for hours, but the combination of a very small dosage and delivery via suboptimal means greatly decreases its effectiveness.”

Jenny flicked the vial, checking to see if the silvery liquid sloshed correctly. It did.

Jenny could finally live out her dream of actually using her poisons. Briefly corpsifying people was going to be fun indeed.

Aaron looks around, two kids from the big three!, he thinks to himself. Excellent, this should give us a win. He finally spots the rest of the group, spread around the hephaestus table, with it's metal like protrusions, and mechanical look.

He blanched, he much preferred the natural look of the Demeter table, Anyway he says to himself. Heading over to the other table, dropping off some food along the way, as a sacrifice to his mother. Please help me find friends he feels the soft glow that he remembered and always associated with his mother. 

He walks over trying and succeeding to sound confident in himself and his abilities. One of the group had been playing with a vial of something. He shudders, wonder what those Hecate kids cooked up for her. He sat down at the end of the table, making his peas grow into vines, and start sprouting, trying to show the others his power.

Jenny was quite glad Edgar felt the same way. It would have been sad if he had dropped out, though. She didn’t care about the game very much, but he probably did.

Jenny noticed a new person sit at the end of their empty table out of the corner of her eye. Odd. She glanced over at the guy and waved without registering any details about him. Her wave froze when she saw him growing plants. Demeter’s magic, probably. It had always seemed foreign to her, in a way. Demeter didn’t much like her father. She hoped this guy would still like her anyways.

Edgar looked over at the new kid. Probably another person to come laugh at me or Jenny. Still, Jenny seemed to like him…though there didn’t seem to be anyone she disliked. “Who are you?” @Scars of Hathsin

He knew that she was a child of Hades, but unlike the others in his cabin, he finds the story somewhat romantic, and everything turned out in the end, which he liked. As most stories did not end that way. Maybe I should say that to her, he thinks to himself.

That was a nice way of looking at the story. Jenny did like winter. It was a relief that she wouldn’t need to poison this guy so he didn’t strangle her with a vine. Demeter kids had threatened her with that before. She gently picked one of the pea blossoms and put it in a pocket, then thanked the plant for it.

”All I’ve got is some paralysis poison, so I can try and incapacitate some bigger threats. It won’t last forever, though. You’d need to drink the whole bottle for that.”

She held up the vial and swished the contents around.

”We’ll have about one to fifteen minutes without needing to worry about them each time I can hit them with a dart.”

She held up the blowgun next to the vial.

”Oh, and I’m Jenny. Been here five years. You already know who my dad is.”

“I have this,” Edgar said, revealing his Gift. “It’ll shift into what I need most of the time, though it can’t be too complicated and it all has to be one piece. And I know how to work a special feature with the blowgun, so it might be best for me to stick with Jenny.” He turned to her, “As long as you’re ok with that.”

Jenny had been hoping he’d want to stay with her. She didn’t really know what she was doing, in all honesty. She hardly knew where the flags were even supposed to be and was only reasonably certain that you weren’t allowed to kill anyone. She’d have no idea which campers were the best options for paralyzing.

“Both, maybe? The ideal is to hit campers before they notice us to prevent them from getting anything done, but it’s also effective if you want someone to stop swinging a sword at you. We could stay near our flag, since that would give us the best chance at finding a good place to hide without having to sneak past anyone.”

Jenny practiced aiming with the blowgun a bit while she talked. She was tempted to test how far she could launch a dart, but then remembered the catapult incident and realized that would probably get her banned from using darts.

"I could always incapacitate them with plants, and if there are any plants with sleeping spores nearby, I can try and do it on a wider scale" Aaron pipes up.

"Who are we going to send to the other flag, or are we just going to wait until they are all incapacitated?" he asks again in rapid succession.

That sight was going to be very helpful. Jenny wasn’t all too confident in her aiming abilities. She peered through it, aiming the blowgun at various other campers.

”Please be careful. I don’t want you to get hurt before I can incapacitate them.”

Aaron’s plant stuff was also going to be helpful. If he could get them held in place for a moment, she could paralyze them before they broke free.
