Eddie saw the ice, and a ghost of a smile flitted across her lips. “Lil…poor little princess.” She concentrated, and her fire suddenly burst through the ice.

Elan turned up the intensity of the water. "NO!" He shouts. "Nononononono...."

Aster didn't notice, instead looking for Lilyana

@Ookla the Raveness

She found Lilyana still fighting to keep the flames back, to let just one more person escape. Her eyes flickering a brilliant blue and snowflakes were crystalizing around her.

There was a crash, and flames. Erin cried out.

Michael immediately jumped out of the bed and ran out of the room to find the source of the obviously unnatural fire. He burst out of the door on the first story to find...a bizarre scene. So many abilities. So much power. Michael walked over to the girl who had some sort of ice based powers. That would be very useful.

He put his hand on her shoulder and says, "I can help you, if you allow me to."

Erin tried to follow, but was caught in the flames. They jumped back, but did not avoid all of the burns.

She barely nodded her head, all her focus on stopping the flames. Grimacing she forced her hands open wider and beams of solid ice blasted from them. Phantom wings appeared on her back and her skin started turning into icy plated scales.

The nod was all that he needed. A faint, ghostly line left the side of the girl's head and entered into Cole's hand. It had no substance, but felt icy cold on his skin.

Cole smiled as the mostly transparent line continued to flow into him. It was so small he was sure almost nobody would notice it. After a few more seconds, the line ended and floated through the air into his hand like a ribbon.

He groaned and fell to his knees, though the smile never left his lips. He lifted up has hand, palm facing the sky, and a tiny snowflake appeared.

Cole isn't planning on helping Erin anytime soon just so you know.

Also if he uses it too much it will corrupt him as it is doing to Lilyana because the elemental energy is too much and eventually she'll be transformed into some sort of ice person or elemental or dragon.

That'll be fun for him to find out. I'm guessing it's not something you just know from using it?

Nope, not unless you’re from the world where the powers are from, then you only know because of the people who basically became the other races because of that corruption :P

Sweet. I'm just imagining him walking along, he summons a snowflake, and suddenly has a dragon tail xD

Essentially yeah xD

It happens slowly but the more you use it in big bursts without having kind of built up to that kind of power, that will corrupt you. Which is essentially what is happening to Lilyana.

Erin just waited, trapped by the flames. "Mike!"

Aster spoke, "Lil? Are you there?"

Cole heard the call, and almost did nothing. He didn't want to save them, really. But he realized that it was necessary. It may be the only way to get what he really wanted.

Cole got to his feet and walks into the burning building. He decided to experiment with his newfound power, shooting ice out of his hands to devour any fire in his path. He soon reaches Erin, and puts out the fire that separates them from safety.

Erin looked shocked. "How are you using ice powers?"

"How can I help?"
