Xiylna looked around, gaze eventually landing on sleeper. “Is he okay?” She whispered loudly.

"I think he's dead." The ex-shovel man nudged sleeper. "Yeah, definitely dead."

"Perhaps he's just a very deep sleeper, it is in the name after all," Penn suggested. He took some candy out of his pocket and added it to the poker pot.

"Deal me in, if you would."

“Very well,” Altair said, dealing out some more cards.

Penn took his cards, studying them. He definetly knew how to play poker.

Xiylna flew around and read everyone’s cards.

"What do think I should do Xi?"

Xiylna giggled. “Telling you would be cheating! Cheating is naughty!”

Xiylna shrugged, then flew over and whispered in Penn’s ear.

Penn nodded and smiled. Interesting.

He had no idea how to play poker.

"Just as I planned, of course."

"Right. Exactly. I was testing you."

Penn really didn't know how to play poker.

Someone appeared. They had no idea what was going on. They didn't know where they were. They didn't know who they themself was. It appeared some beings were playing something with cards.

Anyone feel free to catch me up. This is me joining. I don't know my character's name yet or powers, and didn't really feel like reading the other 60 pages. I'm happy to suggestions on character names.

Honestly at this point we're not really doing much of anything.

Some stuff happened, and we kept trying to get a plot going but so far we're just kinda . . . chillin. Feel free to do whatever you want.

Altair looked at the new person. “Hello!” He said. “Do you like poker?”

The person sat down, staring at the others with their cards.

Altair dealed the person in and explained the rules.

I have no idea how to play, but Altair does, so let’s just assume I told everyone.

So pretty much, you all start out with lets say, 10 chips. Everyone puts in 1 chip to play, then everyone gets their cards. Next, the first person (chosen at random) puts in one chip into the middle. You can choose to either raise the price of the chip, only put one chip in, or fold, meaning you give up. Finally, one person will chose to stop, and everyone shows their cards. You can search up Poker Hand Combinations or something to figure out who has the best hand, and then the person who has the best hand wins, and takes all of the chips in the middle, then it repeats.

This is how I used to play it, other people may have played it differently, but I have to go now.
