This is a thread to discuss your happy memories!

Recalling the good things that happened to you can not only help you feel better, but maybe help you lift someone else's spirits on a rough day.

Here's mine:

I remember that my dad and I used to play a game of chess with our Star Wars chess set every Sunday. He won all the time for a while, but then I started winning almost every game. Looking back, he was definitely letting me win on purpose, but it was wonderful to spend time playing games with my dad, and winning a game of chess every week helped me to feel more confident about myself. We also had a game of little football figures we'd play football with sometimes, and then occasionally we'd play Uno as a family. I'm not sure why we stopped. Maybe I got too old or we just got out of the habit. Anyway, that's a happy memory of mine.

So, what are some of the happy memories that you humans have? Whether they be small things or large experiences, this is your place to share them.

My family lived right in front of a reservoir when I was 8-10ish. It was really fun to play in, and I remember one time my and my two sisters went into a pipe that led to a storm drain. It was really fun, even though my little sister turned back. So that's my thing!

Ooooohhh...

Being in plays comes with so many memories. It's not a huge thing, but it's a thousand little things that build up to pure bliss. Being onstage, blinded by the lights. Glitching mics. Walking to Subway between shows. Belting Broadway music even though we're all technically on voice rest. The number of hours we spend together every day for rehearsal. Watching the whole show come together, and then performing. Putting bizarre makeup on each other. Having jokes that no one else understands. All the tiny little things that build up to a very happy memory jumble.

a lot of my happy memories are at rehearsals. We just get up to so many shenanigans and have so much fun. part of it is that basses (choir and orchestra) are kinda crazy. We have all sorts of traditions that we pass on, and it's always a party with my section.

Aw, I relate so much!! Like, not the specific things, but I can relate to the overall feeling.

When I was very small, my family lived in a two-story duplex. Our neighbors upstairs were our best friends, and we had the BEST yard. It wasn't huge or well kept, but flowers would spring out of random places, and we had both a cherry and apple tree. I distinctly remember finding a dandelion that went up to my chest (which wasn't that tall but still) and being so happy when I blew the seeds everywhere.
