I've never actually cried while reading a book or watching a movie, I got close during the fifth book of Keeper of the Lost Cities though.

I cry when reading books and I NEED TO GO TO SLEEP!!! Also, if it's, y'know, really devastating. And if it's both, well, I'm a wreck.

Spoiler

So, Teft and the Tien part in Row were... rough.

I don't really cry when I read books, except (don't read if you haven't read Rhythm of war/Stormlight archive)

Spoiler

when Teft dies and when Rock leaves and stuff like that in Brandon Sanderson's books.

the Underland Chronicles are pretty brutal and have nearly made me cry while listening to the audiobooks.

Edit: I'm editing this because I found a wonderful series from people on 17th Shard. The Wingfeather Saga is terrible and great at once. I've just about finished the third book and it makes me cry. It's a realistically unrealistic experience.

Isn't that in Rhythm of War?

You're right. I meant Stormlight Archive. I always think of the series as way of kings for some reason.
