Dghikbgrscbibfd
Iirc there's a WoB out there that says Harmony could create lerasium if he wanted to, I'm assuming he can create atium as well. Can he make enough of one or the other to unbalance the powers within him thus allowing him to act? Would the intents of the shards be given weight according to the ratio of powers within him?
Eternal Khol
I dont think Its that the powers are unbalanced. They just have opposed Intents. Ruin and Pres. Even if he did use some of Ruins power to balance the 2 out. He'd still be fighting againt 2 opposed Intents. if he tried to preserve, the Intent of Ruin would fight that. Same goes if he tried to use his power to Ruin. The Power of Pres would fight that change. It's kinda like Ruins(Ati) prison but it works both ways. Anything he(Ruin/Ati) tried to do, the power of Preservation pushed back and cancelled it. Sazed holding and being bound by/to Ruin+Pres means he naturally gets push back from the opposite intent anytime he tries to work towards either Intent. while Intent and power are deeply intetwined, i dont think one of the Shards having more power means that the Intent is stronger/weaker on one side. i think that a Shard at half power would be affected by their Intent just as much as a Shard at full power. I dont think Intent can be quantified like the power can. Its either there or its not. And with Shards, the Intent is always there Edited April 6, 2021 by Eternal Khol Typo's

And with Shards, the Intent is always there I agree, the strength of the intent would not lessen, but perhaps it would be easier to break through the resistance if one side was weaker. However, I think it should be possible for him to meld the intents to create a knew one, capable of both ruining and preserving. That way he could act, perhaps in ruining something, to preserve something else, fulfilling both intents
