Millions of square miles of rain falling at every moment, thousands of lightning strikes per minute, hail from the smallest speck to car sized, wind strong enough to flatten a city, enough snow to drown a million mammoths, it's crazy. The only reason they can stay alive is their magic, which comes in five types. Lightning magic, can draw lightning to you or to a specific spot. Rain magic, can create a decently large shield to keep rain away or can push rain in a certain direction. Wind magic, can control, slow, and speed up the wind. And hail/snow magic, can control, move, and sculpt hail or snow. There is an incredibly powerful wind controller moving the winds at all times, they also blow away the hail and the majority of the snow. The rain does get through albeit in small amounts. There are basically taxis that use rain shields to transport people from place to place. Hail and snow sculptors on the sides of the street, selling trinkets. And because lightning helps to grow plants in Stormreach, lightning controllers bringing down lightning strikes in the middle of gardens. The plot is this: The two most powerful wind controllers have both died in an unfortunate accident, and most people have taken to their homes in fear of car sized pieces of hail and wind powerful enough to flatten them. Small squads of rain, wind, and hail controllers have banded together to make the only possible transportation in the city. The plot will likely revolve around solving the "accidental" deaths of the wind controllers and/or the selection of new ones. Quote Characters: My characters, one per plot. Spoiler Name: Judde Scholarson Appearance: Dark, tan skin. Greying brown hair. He tends to wear a brown trench coat with a grey tophat. Skills: He's a excellent private investigator and is quite smart as well. He's spry, but not strong. Backstory: Judde was the son of a scholar and had a fairly good life, but he was always drawn toward the criminal elements of the city. Not to be one, but to stop them instead. He joined the police force as an investigator, but soon found the organization didn't fit him, and the tendency to pass over people left a bad taste in his mouth, so he became a Private Investigator. He's been pretty successful over the years and has recently been hired to investigate the possibility of the accidental death of the High Windmover being a murder. Name: Prometheus Godson Appearance: A young man in his mid twenties. He has yellow hair and eyes and a broad, but also lean build. He normally where's a blue or green suit with a purple tie. Skills: Lightning manipulation. The rest is unknown. Backstory: His backstory is unknown. @2EmLee2's character. Spoiler Name: Isabelle "Izzy" Rose Appearance: 14yo girl, medium height, waist-length wavy blonde hair, pale skin, and dark magenta eyes. Skills: VERY strong hail-magic and talented ice sculptor. Never had any formal teacher in magic so can't control her powers when she gets very emotional. Backstory: Her parents went missing when she was four and has been taken care of by a good neighbor since. They live in a poorer neighborhood and Izzy uses her powers to help the community when any huge hailstorms happen. She sells sculpted hail pendants for a living. @Random Bystander's character. Spoiler Name: Rai Hayes (17) Appearance: Short blonde hair, dark blue eyes, pale skin, tall and skinny Skills: Smart, fairly athletic, can withstand extreme temperatures relatively well, fairly charismatic Weaknesses: Has a fairly short temper, will not admit when she's wrong, refuses to show any weakness Personality: Enthusiastic, stubborn, optimistic Magic: Can control snow pretty darn well Backstory: Bla bla bla went through life normally. Bla bla bla used her powers to keep her family alive. Then the wind people died, and she decided to see if someone would give her a steady, well paying job. @Omi the Counselor hasn't made a character yet.
