  1. 1. Are Theory People scarier than Mods?

so @Chinkoln mentioned that the "Theory people" not the mods needed to be feared, and so I decided we needed to organise.

This is the place for people with obscene amounts of Cosmere information, and have an intrest in theories.

not really we are pretty cool people, and you should join us.

Oh, we so need @Jofwu

so now that we have all these people here anyone have an intresting theory they are working on, or a WoB you want to discuss?

Too many.

Not sure if this forum is RoW restricted, though, so Imma keep my nose clean. Suffice it to say that what I posited as a "crackpot theory" recently as a joke in a thread in the RoW General Thoughts forum, I have begun to suspect may have some actual merit...

Oh, I remembered a theory. Not the really cool one, but a theory/question.

So, someone can exist in the cognitive and spiritual realm but not physical. This is a cognitive shadow.
Is it possible to be in

a. Just the Physical

b. Physical and Spiritual, but not Cognitive

c.Physical and Cognitive, but not Spiritual

Isn't that implied to be the end result of The Emperor's Soul?

Do you mean the emperor not having a mind? I thought that was just because his brain was damaged. Because he couldn’t have a self identity, he couldn’t figure out how to heal his memories. His cognitive aspect would just walk around dully.

I actually think that was Physical and Spiritual, with her essentially recreating his Cognitive.

Spiritual only do, based on the original plan for shadowblaze.

@LewsTherinTelescope

I'm a bit confused what this is, but hello...

Man, it's a real shame Rithmatist isn't Cosmere anymore, because it fits really well, and Spiritual entities are cool. Plus, Rithmatics fills a nice little niche in the magics with some of its powers that I don't think the other Cosmere magics quite do (namely, convenient forcefields, as well as controlled chalklings). Would fit pretty neatly with some kind of rather oddly-shaped Selish country, actually.

Dang that's a lot, I've only done two reads of most of the books... I've read the Liar of Partinel sample chapters too many times, does that count?
