Mmm... no mine wouldn't. And not "most every dog". A lot of dogs I've met are very territorial. My cat would rather stay on my lap than move for tuna juice, his favourite treat. A lot of cats are misunderstood because they have a harder time with new people or grew up terribly. People tend to mistreat cats more than dogs because they assume that the cat doesn't care, but my cats receive so much love and I've even rehabilitated one who grew up in a bad environment.
