zieres
Kelsir in SH dies and persists longer cause he was an allomancer, thus a returned (especially one of the five scolars) could stay even a lot longer in the spiritual realm. We have seen Nale „revive“ or reattach szeths cognitive shadow back to his body, someone like Yesteel who is more proficient at this could potentially have put in a lot more into Clod then we think.

Yesteel? The one who turned Arsteel/Clod into a Lifeless after his death at the hands of Vasher was VaraTreledees/Denth. Clod does seem to be a lot more there than what other characters suggest is typical for most Lifeless. Brandon confirmed this too: Quote Joeh42 In Warbreaker, is Clod the Lifeless body of Arsteel? I like this idea because Arsteel would have had some Breaths within him when he died, as this is how Vashir defeated him and Denth, and this could help explain why he seems to be a little more self-aware than most Lifeless. Could you respond to this idea? Brandon Sanderson I confirmed in the Warbreaker annotations that Clod is Arsteel. Clod is more self-aware than most Lifeless. There is something left of Arsteel within Clod. The Breaths that Vasher gave him when he killed him do have an effect on this. TheSprengineer
The sequel is going to be killer, Jewels was taking Clod to Yesteel for some upgrades so we have definitely not seen everything they’ve got yet. With Yesteel making better ichors, I’m almost seeing a Frankenstein’s monster kind of storyline happening
Kolo_Lono
Do we know what happened to Denth's body? He could be as invested as Clod and headed to Yesteel too. A semi-awakened Denth could be terrifying.

He was stabbed with a normal dagger (not Nightblood) by Vasher after he gave him some of his Breaths to surprise him, we see his hair change colours revealing that he had the Royal Locks. His body's fine enough (eheheh) to be turned into a Lifeless. Though, iirc, the most skilled fighter among the Five Scholars was Arsteel/Clod and the most skilled scholars were Shashara and Yesteel, so Denth's not the scariest of them.

Denth might be the "strategist", deciding what to study and putting all the information together among the Scholars. He might not be the best with a sword or with actually studying, but he can still be scary. I have no backing to this, just a thought.
