Flyingbooks
This is a place to talk about and post pictures of interesting rocks. (minerals are welcome too!) I got this one at the Smithsonian museum of natural history. This rock is naturally sparkly - I think it's "peacock ore," which is made up of the minerals bornite and chalcopyrite. The back side of the rock (which seems cut) has very few sparkles, but some have started to appear because they are the result of oxidation. I got this as a birthday present a few years back. The ridges give it a strange, uneven texture and I like gently squeezing it. (sorry about the blurriness) I found this rock recently when I was organizing my room, but it was originally a normal pebble in my yard. It's painted, so the color alone doesn't make it count as interesting, but it fits in my hand so perfectly and smoothly that I kept it.

Lecky Twig
I went hiking in an area where it looked lime it was snowing on all the nearby mountains, but it was all just white quartz. It was so beautiful, I spent more time looking at the local rocks than at the expansive view . Some of the quartz had red veins running through it. Since the rocks in the area I was hiking in are about a billion years old, the red veins a likely some kind of fossilised unevolved algae. My favourite rock was a head-sized jagged, semi-translucent quartz rock that had both red and black veins running through it.
Honorless
Bismuth crystals have to be the most beautiful minerals in existence: And it's radioactive too, no stable isotopes! Except that some of those isotopes' half lives are longer than the current age of the universe so, no problemo! Bearer of all agonies
Yes! This is my type of club! Two things: When I was a kid, me and my parents would go on a walk every morning(this was when I was two and was still in England.) We would take a walk around the neighborhood, and on the way back we would always pass a construction site, and I thought that I needed to pick up every construction site rock that I thought was cool. We still have a bucket of construction site rocks in the basement, I will take a picture and post it here sometime. The second things is, my favorite memes I make are Tien memes, so I’ll post ‘em here! Tien memes: Spoiler

But I had to do this. That's an imposter, not a rock! It's also a poem about a rock. It's also Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor (Hey look at that! I spelled that right way sooner than I spelled Gneorndin right. The first time I typed Gneorndin I literally looked at the book for the spelling while I was typing it.)
