WarAndStryfe
So I'm rereading all of the books before I start RoW and a startling question came to mind. How did Odium kill Honor after Aharietiam if Odium and the voidbringers were locked on Braise? Am I missing something or has it just not been explained yet? I just find it hard to imagine if Honor and the oathpact kept Odium locked on Braise, how would he even be able to kill Honor during that time and if he could kill a god while locked away, what was stopping him from doing that in the first place?
basement_boi
I think it was similar to Ambition’s death: he was wounded and died slowly. It is mentioned that he slowly went insane towards the end of his death, maybe through pain.
WarAndStryfe
I suppose that's possible, it just seemed suspect to me that he was alive at Aharietiam and that supposedly locked Odium back up in Braise and yet 2k years later he's still alive and then just suddenly dies?
Weltall
Preservation was dying even before Ruin was freed, that just hastened the process; He lasted a thousand years and some change beforehand. It's not unreasonable that Honor could die over the course of several thousand years. Word of Brandon even says that both Shards' deaths were long events.
