Soulcaster05
Referring to this discussion - https://wob.coppermind.net/events/168-steelheart-seattle-signing/#e10563 Do we know of any hints of such a bonding? If so, does anyone know what kind of powers they might have? For example, would they have all the surges? Quoting Quote for instance there were some spren on Roshar before Honor and Cultivation got there. Those were already Splinters of Adonalsium where he had left power which attained sentience on its own.
Quantus
The Bond would have been possible in theory because the underlying realmics should be the same. As far as we know nobody back then figured such a thing out, but Connection is a cosmere-wide thing so we could be wring. That being said, we've been told that a) Adonalsium would have actively prevented spren from granting surges, and b) any spren that did exist would have been reassigned to their closest Shard. Quote Chaos So, at the Forbidden Planet signing you said that when Adonalsium was Shattered, all Investiture in the cosmere was associated to one of the Shards... So, what happened with Adonalsium's spren on Roshar? Were those associated to Honor and Cultivation? What happened with them? Brandon Sanderson So they were very-- They were already associated to certain parts of Adonalsium and they went with those associations. There's a lot of Cultivation in all of the spren, particularly the natural spren. Footnote: Chaos is referencing this exchange. Salt Lake City signing (Dec. 16, 2017) Quote Pod You’ve said that you would call Surgebinding, Voidbinding, and fabrials the three magics on Roshar. Would it be more accurate to say that Surgebinding followed and emulated fabrials and/orthe possibility of fabrials or vice versa? Brandon Sanderson Vice versa. Fabrials are... generally, Surgebinders first, fabrials second. Pod So you couldn’t have done fabrials when it was just Adonalsium. Brandon Sanderson Oh, before the [Shattering]? *deep in thought mmming* Pod Would the spren have still been able to do Surges then? Brandon Sanderson I would say... no. No, Adonalsium probably would not have let that happen. You could theoretically do it, if Adonalsium allowed it. Pod He had boundaries against it. Brandon Sanderson Yes. So, I would say no. Soulcaster05
Quote They were already associated to certain parts of Adonalsium and they went with those associations. Ahh, sadly. So what would have happened, say, to someone who had theoretically bonded an Adonalsium spren? They would have suddenly found themselves losing 8 surges, is that right? @Quantus Edit: So the Sibling is a spren half-Honor and half-Cultivation, right? Spoiler Bonding them gave Navani the usual powers of a Bondsmith. At least she doesn't seem to have super-special powers gifted to her by the bond as of yet. Maybe Adonalsium-spren bonding might work the same? Edited February 15, 2021 by Soulcaster05

Almost all sprens are Honour-Cultivation mix and some people (in world) think even Honourspren and Cultivation sprens are 50% each
