Paladin Brewer
...put the book down for a moment when Moash killed Teft's spren, and realize at this point either Teft is going to die, or, Teft is going to have to live after seeing his spren murdered, and not knowing which outcome you preferred? :/ Cause I did, and I still don't know which is better, honestly.
Winds Alight
Well I did have to put down the book for a moment bcause I was crying hysterically if that counts :| The description of the bond breaking and the emptiness ... at that point I honestly didn't have a doubt of the outcome anymore anyways. The Sovereign
Honestly while I was sad about Teft, I was actually really happy with the scene as a whole. Teft ended with what seemed to be some legitimate closure and Brandon let Moash actually go dark. So many authors turn characters like Moash into sympathetic anti-heroes. It's nice to see someone go actually bad for a change. Edited November 30, 2020 by The Sovereign Grammar is important.
Kitch
The second that it was mentioned that to break the bond/kill the spren you needed to plunge the knife into the spren, I knew it was going to be Teft. There was too much emphasis that his spren preferred to be life-size.
+Czernobog
Interesting. I wonder if that will be an important defense mechanism for Radiant spren going forward, to minimize their "footprint" in the Physical. Could prove to be a distinct combat advantage Radiant spren have over the Fused, since Radiant spen can modulate their effective target area, whereas the fused are more or less fixed in form, for targeting purposes.
