The Happy Obligator
Greetings folks, I might by kind of inactive for the first two days or so because I'm kind of busy this weekend. I think I know what I'm doing. I did read the rules and skimmed previous games, but I still might do something dumb. Anyway, hi everyone! Can't wait to catch the inquisitors in their treachery.
Quintessential
I know we're not supposed to RP on the thread but I couldn't resist lol I promise I'll just keep it to this one post (and a death RP if I die). Rinala--no, it was Sedra now--fingered the temporary tattoos that encircled her eyes and wondered how she was ever going to get herself out of this mess. The Ghostbloods had ordered her on this mission, and the Diagram hadn't tried to stop her, so she'd agreed. Hah. "Agreed." As if she'd had a choice... And now she was stuck on a different planet, one where there was ash instead of storms and where her light-blue eyes apparently didn't mean anything. The system of rule here was so odd, particularly the idea of needing to disfigure oneself to serve justice. When her recruiter had told her about the mission, he'd said that "we don't normally send newbies off-world, but we have need of your specific talents"--by which she assumed he meant her ability to learn new languages incredibly quickly, and speak them without an accent--"and you've shown that you have some sense. Don't screw this up." So here she was, trying to influence the politics in a completely foreign place that, a month ago, she hadn't known existed. And she had to succeed. Perhaps the Ghostbloods would be lenient with a normal member who failed, but Sedra was already treated with suspicion due to her other affiliations. If she died it wouldn't matter, so she could live with that. Well, not really, of course. But she could accept it. If she survived but couldn't tip the balance of power in their favor... well, that would be worse. Much worse. She fingered the pouch of blackbane in her pocket and told herself it wouldn't come to that. Edits because of grammar lol Edited November 13, 2020 by Quinn0928

You can RP things like that, I just want to avoid huge stretches of RP without any game discussion. Less of a rule, more of a general guideline. Gears
I have a major project and many tests coming up, so activity may be a bit scattered. The following is an analysis of the rules. Factions: The Lord Ruler is a variable that may be difficult to account for. Assuming that this player is logical, they will back the winning side. This makes the village's job all the more important. If they are doing well, they get an advantage. If they are failing, we get an ally. Roles: General: There are no protects. The only way for a person to be attacked and survive is for them to be Spiked or the Lord Ruler. For safety's sake, we should probably kill anyone who survives a lynch. If they survived the kill, they are the Lord Ruler (since we can't target ourselves). All of the roles seem quite straight forward, and I fear I am becoming worse at analysing with each passing game. Lord Ruler: See above. Overseer: Slow alignment scanner Useful for both sides. Compounding: Survival. Spiked: Survival. Mistborn: One kill. Choose wisely, and don't waste it. Orthodoxy: Rolescan. Since it doesn't see faction-specific, it cannot be used as a knock-off alignment scanner. Resource: Vote removal. Avoid ties so the Inquisitors (no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!) can't take advantage. Finance: Vote moving at the cost of one's vote. Worthless in 2-person lynch situations. Inquisition: Roleblock. Stops the elim kill. If there is no elim kill in the night, you are probably why. Do not claim. We need you. Please note that I am quite busy for a bit and may or may not be scattered for the entirety of this weekend.

Mist
It could be helpful to save a Mistborn kill until someone survives the lynch, because in that case, they're either Spiked or TLR, and we don't waste a cycle removing them again. Technically, it's also possible that they're nothing at all; if a member of the Canton of Inquisition guesses right as to who's submitting the elim kills (which is clearly unlikely but could still happen), then the person that would have been killed would survive. That aside, you're still correct that a Mistborn kill could be very useful in that scenario. EDIT: Ignore all of that I thought we were talking about elim kills not lynches oof Edited November 13, 2020 by Quinn0928

I promise I'm 100% an obligator this round. Edit: Also I *do* think we need the Canton of Inquisition. I was just amused by the contradictions in your post, that's all. Edit (again): oof I'm so bad at wording things... when I say "we", unlike Gears, I mean the villagers. I'm sure Canton of Inquistion is useful for elims too, but I'm primarily thinking of us here. +Lotus
On the RP thing, if you are just doing one big RP post, that's probably fine, but If you're interested in doing some back and forth with someone else, please take that to PMS.
Condensation
Connie walked into Luthadel, smiling. Her last try at joining a group had not gone well, (here she shuddered) but this time was going to be better. This time, she was more experienced. She wouldn't let it happen again, this time would be less dangerous. Then she got word that there had been a killing among them. This could be bad, but there was no backing out now. Especially after she had gotten... she reached up to rub the skin around her eyes, where she had gotten tattoos. This time, she was sticking around until the end. danex
Notani N Quisitor pushed his oversized sunglasses up the bridge of his nose. Those darn things were always falling off. As he walked outside to check on his thousands and thousands of beloved Murder Hornets, he noticed something that made his blood chill. A single dead Hornet, lying in the middle of the walkway. He fell to his knees with a sob, cradling the deceased bug in his arms. What monster would do such a thing! As his body shook with grief, he looked towards the sky and cried, “This means WAR!” Yes hello I’m here now.

As his body shook with grief, he looked towards the sky and cried, “This means WAR!” *dies with laughter* Sedra was leaning against the wall of the alley, concealed in shadow and dusted with ash, when she saw Connie walking by. It was *definitely* Connie, though the tattoos had thrown her off for a moment. What was she doing here??? Hadn't they killed her along with all the other hopefuls back on Roshar? Sedra hesitated, unsure whether to follow. Eventually she decided against it, and went back to watching the people passing by. Whatever Connie was doing here, it had nothing to do with Sedra's mission. It wasn't her concern.
