If you’re not in a system yourself, you’ll want to have done a good amount of research on DID to make sure you’re portraying it well. (I can recommend some good YouTube channels if you’d like.) I’ll also make the suggestion that you research harmful tropes not to fall into with this type of thing - it is very easy to write a stereotype if you’re unaware of what it looks like. (Again, I know videos you can take a look at.)
