would this be possible?(with Feruchemy)

This is going to be about a full Feruchemist I was wondering if it would be possible for a fullborn to tap any metal and at the same time fill Nicrosil (investiture) and end up with having however much investiture was in the other metalmind. Or if when one fills Nicrosil they would no longer have any access to Feruchemy at all and if you could use Nicosil to fill other metalminds.

Canonically, we don't know. We never got to see a Full Feruchemist (or Mistborn) using all the metals, nor do we have a WoB on this, but theoretically, after seeing era 2 Southern Scadrian tech, many of us suspect that something like that could work.

Just one small thing, I'd change the wording to be clearer that if one fills Nicrosil by leeching Investiture from their other metalminds, they would no longer have any Investiture in those other metalminds, but they could still store, just not tap (because what was stored got converted into Investiture, which then got stored in the Nicrosilmind).

yeah I just couldn't find a good way to word it. thanks

Wait... what?

I can't quite visualize what you mean... I'm probably just having a small-brain moment. Are you saying that you think you could store other metalmind reserves inside a nicrosilmind?

kind of what I'm saying, so what I think might be possible is to tap physical strength for example and at the same time start to fill Nicrosil and it would fill up a lot faster because you  have the investiture form the pewtermind in you body. I also think the opposite is possible so you could tap Nicrosil and start to fill gold at the same time and instead of getting sick the investiture you have stored in Nicrosil would just get moved to the goldmind. sorry you probably were not having a small brain moment I just did a bad job explaining my theory.

I believe in the mistborn adventure game, you can use Nicrosil to "convert" between feruchemical reserves like that. But at the same time Brandon has said not everything in that is canon, particularly stuff like F-nicrosil. But then that's also partly because he hasn't settled on what he actually wants f-nicrosil to really do. Ugh..

I think you would be right to be honest. Moving it between because it would make a lot of sense.

What if the Feruchemist was a Mistborn too? Like I wonder whether they would just compound Investiture and have infinite Investiture. Like they wouldn’t need to burn metals to get it or whatever?

thats what I was thinking too but I didn't mention it.

I don't know if it's needed, but BoM spoilers ahead.

First, I believe it's impossible to store kinetic investiture - which is to say, the equivalent of actively burning metals. You can see it in BoM - the bands should give you any allomantic ability, but Marasi needs to drink one of the guards' metal vial (if I remember correctly) to use those abilities. Second, I believe it was stated in a WoB that you can't convert investiture from one non-nicrosil metalmind to a nicrosilmind investiture, but I'm to lazy to check it. Anyway, if I'm right about storing kinetic investiture, I think it's practically the same. Third, it sounds to me that you'd need blank investiture to pass it from the nicrosilmind to any othe metalmind, and it might be possible to store, but not any investiture you store will do that.

The idea of storing blank investiture seems to have a lot of potential, if it's possible. And I might be wrong about converting investiture.

Honestly I came into the shard creating thread after thread of questions on what F-nicrosil does. I concluded that it probably stores the ability to use your powers. Kinda your spiritual investiture. That’s probably how unsealed metalminds work. You have a feruchemist be identityless with F-aluminum, then fill any metalmind along with a nicrosilmind. That way, anyone gains the ability if they use it, and can access the metalmind. This would mean that the feruchemist would lose that ability, which is where exicors come in. The probably somehow have the ability to fill a nicrosilmind without making you lose your ability to use that metal, kind of cheating Feruchemy.

I hope this helps, but I think my wording’s a bit funky, so my bad.
