You could mean nerd as in person who likes to study, in which case "empollón" applies, since you didn't specify a language. You could mean nerd as in person obsessed with a hobby, in which case "otaku" applies, in any of its meanings. But since we already established that nerd can mean a variety of things, I'm gonna go with "Sanderfan". Do you have a guilty pleasure when it comes to books?
