Quantus Posted February 10, 2020 Report Share Posted February 10, 2020 Theoretically if you hold enough Investiture of any source, you can Ascend. Note that this is distinct from actually becoming the Shard's Vessel, but it is int he right direction along that path. There have been a couple confirmed instances of Ascension while the Shard itself was still kept by it's Vessel. Separately though, some Shardic Intents are more comparable than others, so holding Investiture from multiple sources might be a hindrance more than a benefit. Mistborn Spoilers (Era 1 and 2): Spoiler Both The Lord Ruler when he took the Well and Elend when he was flaring Atium are confirmed to have Ascended, by getting their hands on a massive amount of a Shards Investiture already in the Physical Realm. Neither case took control of the Shard itself from the Vessel.
