Kaladin smashed on the chasm wall, he cancelled the lashing  and fell on the chasm floor, he stood up to try again.

"You know" syl said, "I was ones bonded to  knight radiant before. We fought the Void-bringers. They almost destroyed all the world".

"What is your point?" Kaladin asked. "He and his squires also had hard time get get used to the changing gravity. But he had a trick: 'the enemy gate is always downwards'".

קאלאדין התרסק על קיר התהום פעם נוספת.
הוא ביטל את הקשירה ונפל על רצפת התהום, התרומם ונעמד כדי לנסות שוב.
"אתה יודע" אמרה סיל, "הייתי קשורה לאביר אור בעבר. נלחמנו באבות הריק. הם השמידו כמעט את כל העולם."
"מה הנקודה שלך?" שאל קאלאדין.
