Can't really give any commentary on it now, aside from what I already said in discord. I'd suggest waiting a day or so, most people here stick to a rather slower pace, so they only check once every day or so.

  • dissapate after going forwards 2m
  • always go away from ally's location

  • are not affected by the laws of physics 
  • can go through solid obsticles 

Secondary: color filters

Ally can summon alternative forcefields with different colors that do not change. ally can also summon grey scale varents that work in the same way as the color versions.

these forcefields have a range of a square meter and are 1cm thick. 3 can be up at a time. lasts for 6 seconds. these forcefields will prevent the things of same color they are from getting past them. (a tomato can't go through a red forcefield but a blueberry can.) the forcefields are stationary and cannot be moved. cooldown of 2 sec and range is 2m line of skin and live beings do not need to have the right colors (i.e. a peach forcefield would not block a human)

Teteirary: color swappp

Ally can swap the colors of two things. rules of mass and size apply (a golf ball would make a spot on a wall). range: 5m

Teterary: color pereception:

Ally can upon touch make peoples color perception change for 30 sec. (red is green, green is purple, blue is black, so on)

passive: Color glow

around her, vibrant colors glow and colors are more noticable: range: 25m

Persona;

  • has the average education of a 9 year old 
  • has dyslexia; cannot read or write. understanding and saying large words is impossible, and she ends up guessing the meaning or spelling it out to say it.
  • has a color obsession; always likes rainbow order better than any other color combo

backstory: in 3 grade when calamity came around, and had a pretty normal life until then. gained powers 1 year after calamity and left her family. grew up in Edmonton pre calamity. stayed in edmonton, but hid. 
PaPel is always likes rainbow order. anything else is disgusting.

Corruptiion:  gets violent and angry occasionally.

weakness: the dark: cannot use powers in complete darkness, in shade she can only use her primary and secondary. afraid of the dark.

Self: can resurrect himself upon death, and he will be where he was 5 min ago, arrive in a flash of yellow light and he will have all his memories. He won’t reveal that he can simply resurrect if he dies. And he will be violent and angry for about a hour after a self rez

Others: can resurrect others once per person. It requires at least 5 minutes of focus and the dead person’s body has to be reconizable. It gives ouroboros all the person’s emotions, failures, successes and feelings throughout all their life, so Ouroboros doesn’t just revive people everyday. Spaces have to be kept between ressurects in order to not go suicidal. People are resurected to where they were 5 mins ago. Cannot have revived himself within the last 1 hour in order to revive

Weakness: jealousy: will not be able to resurrect a person that they are jealous of, and when killed by a person that they are jelous of, they die permenatly. (why they can only rez once)

PAPEL: only will rez if they have to

MO: gets violent and angry whenever they use their powers

Why they exist/backtory: they sorta had a normal life, except for the whole cataclysm part.

Okay so they lived in the town that was relatively remote, and whenever an epicwas discovered, the people worked together to kill them. Then cataclysm came in and killed everyone, and Kendrick discovered that he was an epic after he revived himself. 

He went to edmonton to gain the power when the meeting happened.

the number two was very evident within Natilia's life. for one, she had two siblings. she also killed two epics with her powers. 

the first epic was named Vertex, and they had telekenisis on a huge scale. they died to a Zathloic bullet.

the second epic was named StoneHeart. they could turn to stone and thought that they were just as powerful as steelheart. they died to a collapsed building. 

now Duality's next target is unknown, but in edmonton.

Backstory: Devyn has always been blind. He met Alex at a young age and when Calamity rose, both of them set out to Edmonton, meeting Nimu on the way.

Nimu can summon a spirit companion that can take the shape of any animal that Nimu thinks of.
- Has to desummon and then resummon to switch the companion's form.
- Nimu can mentally talk to their companion 
- Companion cannot physically talk but understands all known languages that Nimu knows

Backstory:
Nimu was lonely as a child and didn't have a lot of friends so they made a spirit companion that would later come to actual life when Calamity rose.

Mindburst - because I don't have enough epics already

Gender: male

Age: 18

Personality:

Bratty annoying, good for nothing person. and being an epic doesn't hep that. If you were to try to put cat ears on nighthound, they would make a nice red arrow pointing at you from above.

Primary: Those Mental illusions:

  • Mental illusions. affect in area of effect. range is 15km radius
  • sight only
  • become reality if someone willingly touches the surface of the illosiusion, and during that time, they cannot be changed and are affected by gravity and other forces. after about 30 seconds without willing touch, they return back to illusion form, where they can be changed and such. this attrabute of the illusions cannot be activated by MIndburst. also, to DeOP them, the person that Willingly touches it will only make it reality to them, but if one person touches them, they are still affected by gravity and forces for everyone.
  • illusions are grouped (when turning to) when they are created. so if 10 icicles are created at one time, they all will turn to reality at once. if they were made individually, then each one would require touch before they would be reality
  • he can create massive illisions, and mantain them does not require really any concentration 
  • does not require sight

Secondary: Reading minds. 

okay it is really more like emotion reading, or what you can surface from reading the rp post. requires sight

Tertiary: Self-conition

he will not get affected by any mental illusions, besides his own, and will maintain his reality and gravity. cannot be affected by mind control, or emotion manipulation. his mind cannot be read.

Passive: Completating life

you cannot find your self to kill Mindburst. if you try to, you stop and consider what might happen if you did, and then you would decide to not kill Mindburst. this could be a grenade about to be thrown into a room, or even using telekenisis or other epic abilities. Mindburst does not know this is in effect all the time, nor does he know that this even exists. this doesn't prevent him from being hurt though,

Weakness:

Experencing a mental block, or a period of time when they can't think of anything will block their powers as long as it lasts

MO: Bratty and annoying.

Backstory: 

Mindburst suffered pre-calamity in school within Saskatchewan, and when calamity rose when he was 8, his life was turned upside-down by quite a few epics.

the first was a epic named PlainHerder. they were one of those "what a stupid power epics". he definintly proved everyone wrong when he flooded most of the town with his goats. Plainherder had the unique ability to create and control goats, and when this does seem a little silly, it was a pretty powerful ability. he trampled most people, and left the town in a fractrured state.

the second epic was Duality, a dual forcefield epic, with the power of a sharper forcefields or bubbly ones. they came around 5 years after the Plainherder attack, and the town was thriving until this point. she claimed this territory as her own, but then another epic came after a month to destroy duality's infrastructure.

Their name was catastrophe and they had fear-fire powers, and tore through half of the towns population before leaving to chase duality.

and when doubletake and steelheart were killed, the detenation of olympia polarus happened, and a month later, Mindburst gained his powers, and following that a week later, cataclysm came, destroyed the town with his ability to make really anything a bomb, and left for edmonton too, apparently chasing after catastrophe. 

Mindburst came out of the wreckage of the town on the border of Saskatchewan, and started heading towards edmonton to go kill the epics that ruined his life.

Monument:

since I have found it too hard to put each ability under primary and such, here is their epic ability(s)

Monuents: 

  • Floating object that acts as the center point. objects vary from type.
  • takes 5 minutes to set up
  • lasts for 14 hours, but can be refreshed
  • multiple of the same type can exist, but they will decrease in power and size.
  • Monument can see monuments through solid obsticles and can check the area inside from an overhead view without having to be inside the monument
  • maxamum amount of monuments is 75
  • increase in power when people are killed inside of it's radius. amount of souls required doubles per increment
  • the effect is ethier lowered by 0.05 or increased by 0.05, with the exception of shadowas, who increases by -0.05

Right, so, I forgot to say this.
UPDATES:
Zyth, who is indeed an Epic but doesn't know it.

Spoiler

Primary: Assumer.
When Zyth personally kills an Epic, he will absorb a part of their powers. Zyth cannot assume prime invincibilities.
Technically, he can choose what part of the Epic's abilities to assume but, trust me, he won't be figuring that out. 
Can also only assume one Epic at a time.

Currently has not assumed any powers.

Secondary: Prime Invincibility.
Zyth can set a recall point that he will be teleported to and revived when he dies. His current bind point is somewhere in the government area of Edmonton, which Zyth did subconsciously because he felt safe there.

Other Changes:

Skytaker Fix:

Skytaker is a full air manipulation Epic, but the reason she has fake air is so vacuums won't be created, but she doesn't need fake air because she has full air manipulation.
The fix is: 
Weakness Revamp: Spoken words > Black licorice

Changed: "She can duplicate air to make "fake air" which she can control. This is so that there won't be pockets of emptiness. Usually when she uses her air manipulation, she is creating fake air and using that."
to
"After the air has been "used" and released, it will attracted there." To prevent large vacuums from remaining there.

Changed backstory from coming to Edmonton to rule > came with AHE.

Cataclysm Fix
Added minor fire manipulation. Can't create fire.
Fixed:
"If Cataclysm touches any objects with molecules, then he can superheat the molecules to the point of a small explosion. His innate shield will protect him from the explosion. Living creatures feel like their body temperature suddenly went up several degrees. Cataclysm can charge anything to different points. There is no time it takes to supercharge. If he knows he is going to superheat you then you will get superheated at touch.
1) The object will explode upon hard impact with another object.
2) The object will explode after a number of seconds.
3) The object explodes right then and there. "

New Epics

Warlock

Epic Name: Warlock

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Personality: Ambitious but careful. Good with words.

Primary: Increments.

Warlock can increment up to 250 increments. Usually has about 80.
Gains one increment every 3 minutes.

Warlock can do/make the following:
Create Warlock Orbs.
- Takes 10 increments to form one Warlock Orb
- Warlock Orbs obey simple commands, i.e "attack, defend". They do not think for themselves.
- If not ordered, the Warlock Orbs return to Warlock and hover around him. They auto-follow and auto-defend.
- Warlock Orbs are incorporeal
- Orbs glow slightly
- Orbs need 10 new increments after being created for 60 minutes. 

There are 5 kinds of Warlock Orbs:
1) Melee Offensive:
Orb can create corporeal blades across the orb's surface that are 2 inches long. Spins rapidly.
Since the blades are corporeal, orb cannot go through walls unless the orb retracts the blades.

2) Ranged Offensive:
Orb shoots icicle-like sharp projectiles that move at a relatively fast pace. Projectiles are 2 inches long. Projectiles are corporeal.

3) Wall - Defensive
Orb can transform into a 2-by-2 meter 2D forcefield that is see-through tinted black and cannot move. To move the field, the orb will have to transform back into a orb (which appears at the center of the field).

4) Restraints - Defensive
Orb can shoot towards an area and turn into a corporeal chain or net. You cannot cut through the orb/chain/net.

5) Healer
Orb must stay within sight of 

Turn incorporeal.
Can turn incorporeal.
- Uses 1 increment every ten seconds
- Uses 1 increment at the start. Increment usage is in bold on count: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 

Increase Physical Attributes
Can consume increments to increase:
Speed,
Strength,
Agility/Dexterity,
Endurance (running distance).

- Can consume up to 3 increments
1 Increment: x1.1
2 Increments: x1.15

Appearance: Black track pants and a red jacket. teal blue eyes and dark brown hair

Personality and skills: smart, thoughtful, agile, persistent, can use the hyper gloves well, can use knifes, knows basic first aid, knows some adanced hardware (repaired the hyper gloves) also knows biology physics and math well.

Assecories: the hyper gloves: a motivator from the epic named hyperburst that was discarded and found by Cy. black leather gloves with wires over the fingers  and lights that glow cyan. can charge to release teal-blue energy blasts depending on how many seconds they are charged for.

0-1 seconds: darts. move fast go through obsticles and burn your skin. 1cm long

1-2 seconds: blasts: fast moving projectiles that pierce the human skin. 1.5 cm long

2-3 seconds: hyperblasts: bounce and move at a relitively low pace. after the eighth bounce of contact with a senient being they explode. 2cm cubed

3+ seconds: gigablasts: home slightly, fast, big and explode upon impact. 3cm long

Knife: pretty self explainitory

Backpack: teal and black. contains food and water and a mobile

Backstory: Cyro was a girl in grade three when calamity rose. Epoch took control of part edmonton, school was canceled and Cy had to learn how to fend for herself. after 8 years of patheticly staying alive, she found a discarded motivator. she used it to mimic an epic and no longer had to barely cling on to life. now she is still in edmonton, in moonglow territory

From what I can see this seems really oversaturated with Epics, so I was thinking of making a mechanic who uses her shop as a front to support resistance groups. In terms of Epics, I was thinking of Stopwatch, whose powers are fittingly time dilation and enhanced senses, and I also had an idea for someone with really powerful regeneration who uses their bones as weapons. Would any of those work?

That seems good... post your character here after you decide all the ideas. just remember, time travelers are strictly banned. also no multiple PIs.

Too many Epics??? *cough* Exotwo *cough* :P (Oh wait I have 3.5 Epics too)

 

First off, welcome to the Shard!

Second, time abilities are restricted. The powerful regen + bones as weapons sounds very cool. Once you have a character idea you can post it here so others can check and make sure they're not INSANELY powerful.

And third, make sure you read the What Happened in Edmonton (Reboot!) so you get an understanding of where everything is at!

Epic Name: Breakneck

Real Name: Eliza Thorne

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Personality: Harsh and gruff

Primary Ability: Powerful and precisely controlled regeneration. In addition to rapidly healing from wounds, Breakneck can grow and expel bone from her body to serve as crude armor and weapons. This regeneration, however, won't prevent her from dying from something like beheading or impalement.

Secondary Abilities: Enhanced strength and speed, extremely powerful sense of smell

Weakness: Raisins

Backstory: Before Calamity, Eliza was a student and judo practicioner, competing multiple times at the national level. Since then, she's been staying low and trying to keep others safe, up until her transformation a few days ago. Still getting used to her powers, she's headed to Edmonton, determined to take down as many other Epics as she can before the corruption overtakes her.
