Use speed. Yes, Cesium will explode but the reaction takes a little time to really start up. Unfortunately we do not know how long hemalurgy takes to work, but given how quickly Spook was spiked it takes less than a second. So use an air gun to propel it through the sacrificial victim and shoot it into a bucket of liquid nitrogen. Now I have no idea how you would actually use the spike, but you have a chance to make a charged spike.

Devil's advocate on that, but Cesium takes time for the reaction because it's still a chemical reaction taking place, so it is limited by the other molecules in the reaction the way a flame is limited by the Oxygen present. Harmonium's volatility has to do with a fundamental incompatibility with the two Investitures mixing on a spiritual level, so it might not throttle the same way, if it doesnt use/need the water beyond the initial "spark". In a enclosed channel that is tight enough for water not to enter, that builds up. If not cleaned properly, it can actually be noticed as a whitish film that's a mixture of the oil, dead skin, and bacteria (and their waste). I have no idea if skin oil could even create the problem in question with ettmetal, but I'm not just making this up. It is seriously the reason for the distinct smell that piercings have when removed. Learned something new, I had no idea about any of that. If the oil in question is literally the same as skin oils, I dont think it would have a problem? Alkali metals are usually stored in oil to prevent the moisture explosion issue, and in both Essences and my impression of Subsumers the cosmere magics seems to treat Water and Oil/Organics as distinct. I think it would have to be nearly all oils though, any sweat in the mix would obviously be an issue.

If it is super reactive there is a decent chance that it causes skin irritation and possibly burns. 53 minutes ago, Oltux72 said: Use speed. If you put that kind of kinetic energy behind the spike and have it impact something a decent chancing exists that you speed up the reaction. Also this might be a soft metal. This means it might not go through a body but instead that it will deform on contact Edited December 16, 2019 by Ookla the Prolific
Honorless
I just got a new idea for what Ettmetal might do Hemalurgically: I think Ettmetal would behave like... somewhere in the middle between Atium (steal any power) and Lerasium (steal all abilities), allowing you to steal multiple attributes of your choice

My only objection is that it is, for lack of a better word, "boring."
