2 Ixthos
Each book in the Stormlight Archive is named after a book in the setting, so The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, and Oathbringer, are in setting writings, some more recent than others. They also cover the possibility of being book-like things, assuming Rhythm of War is the final title and it isn't a transcribed Listener song. Brandon has written parts of those books which he includes as inserts into the novels, and he knows their contents, but there is no need to write the entire books out, as that would like as long to write as a novel, and wouldn't add anything when they exist to serve the novels, rather than the novels to serve them. They mainly exist as a backdrop, source of information to the characters and readers, and are a theme for novel that shares its name. Hope this helps :-)
1 Nathrangking
He said no though I cant find the WoB at the moment. Here it is: Questioner Are you going to write books like, Way of Kings? Not the Way of Kings you already wrote but the Way of Kings in Way of Kings? Brandon Sanderson I am not planning to. Feels like it'd just be a lot of work for very little-- Orem signing (Dec. 21, 2017) Edited September 29, 2019 by Nathrangking
