+King of Herdaz
Why are there no interludes between parts 4 and 5 of The Way of Kings? In the rest of the SA books there are five parts and 4 sets of interludes, while in TWoK there are five parts and only three sets of interludes. There are only six chapters in Part V of The Way of Kings, and the first chapter in it picks up right where Part IV ended... It's really only a "Part" separation is so that Part Four wraps up with the conclusion to Dalinar's disastrous betrayal on the Shattered Plains and Kaladin's rescuing of him and his men. Instead, we get a nice charcoal rubbing of an image of the Herald Nalan'Elin.
Rask
I expect the lack on interludes between pats four and five helps the flow. I love the interludes but it would feel a bit clunky to have three little side stories right in between the climax and the wrap up stage. We wouldn't be able to give the interludes the investment they deserved and when we got back to the main plot the momentum would have been diminished.
Elegy
As was already mentioned, it would have been a bad decision in terms of dramaturgy. WOK's last part is also the shortest of them all and works primarily as a transition to WOR. That's most probably the case because, compared to WOR and OB, that book ends pretty open-ended. The fifth part is basically Brandon saying "yep, this is only the beginning". Adding interludes just for that doesn't feel right.
