She sensed that their encounter had not gone very well, though she could not pin point what it was that went wrong. Was she the one at fault or was Heather just... opposed to her? Her exchanges with Tamika and Star and Tom had gone well enough. Or had they? Ember felt an emptiness in her chest. The human emotion... loneliness. And no one cared about little Ember.
