Could aluminum stop a Shardblade?

Aluminum is very much an anti-Investiture metal, considering that no Allomancy can affect it and Nightblood can't cut through it (since his sheath is made of the stuff). So theoretically, if you wore a suit of aluminum, would it negate a Blade strike like how Shardplate would?

Yep, it would negate the magical cutting effects of a Shardblade, but it's still a very soft metal against a hard, sharp, pointy object.

I've been pushing for one answer, but Peter (whom I trust) is pushing back. We will see what ends up in the books as canon.

Oh, I think aluminum would stop Shardblades from magical cutting. But if it's too thin like foil, a sword...

...would cut it anyway. What I'm arguing is that something else that Shardblades don't cut doesn't need...
