An idea regarding Adonalsium and the Vessels

So, an idea which may or may not have been suggested before: the Vessels split Adonalsium because they wanted to divide power across the Cosmere. They didnt want Adonalsiums power focused on only one place, and thus split it into pieces and ran off in different directions with it. This would explain their rule about staying away from eachother. No one should be able to harness all the power of Adonalsium at once. 

Thoughts?

It is certainly interesting considering the way that they in fact in many cases broke the pact. Did they perhaps regret the decision?

The intentions of the original vessels were varied. I do think it's very likely that some of them were thinking along these lines. However, according to Khriss, some of them were just greedy for power.

From Secret History, Spirit Chp. 1:

The latter part hints at things that I don't think we could hope to figure out at this point.

Perhaps Adonalsium was gradually grinding to a halt with the various aspects warring against each other. (Ruin/preservation, Honor/odium, and so on) If Adonalsium was the closest thing to a government or ruling body and it broke down, this would cause a lot of problems. This could have made some of the vessels assume that taking apart Adonalsium to get the universe moving again was the noble decision.

That's working under the assumption Adonalsium had the Intents of all the Shards in the first place. It's possible that Big A didn't, but we don't know either way.
