For most of her life, she lived Karanak in the Bethab province of Alethkar, her life relatively quiet and unassuming, until all of Roshar was turned upside down by the Everstorm. Sopeh survived the initial onslaught of the storm relatively unharmed, but the newly awakened Singers in Karanak were quick to stage a violent rebellion. He spent the majority of his life living in the valley of truth alongside Szeth son son Vallano. When Szeth was expelled it was he who led the charge to have him named Truthless. The coming of the Everstorm made him wary of the world and he sealed the borders of Shinovar. For the most part he ignored the Blackthorn's exhortation and ramped up the training of the Shin's defensive forces. It was raining. Just a light rain, nothing serious. Not a storm, a Highstorm or... the other one. Sopeh looked up, putting her head on her brow to block out the rain from her eyes. The sun was blotted out by deep gray clouds as far as she could see. Sopeh continued to walk across the Veden hills, not speaking a word. She looked behind her, the border between Alethkar and Jah Keved long since faded into the horizon. There was no turning back now.

Killien stared out over the clouds. Beimg able to see over the clouds was sobering. It gave him a great sense of power to look out over the clouds, as few men had done, but the sheer vastness of the unbroken cloudscape made him feel small. This fortress, as big as it was, was the only outpost in an empty world.

"Since when have I become so philosophical?" he murmered to himself

"Perhaps," a soft voice whispered, "in light of everything that has happened as of late, you have changed." the whispering came from a small figure. It seemed to be carved from stone, but it was cracked. The cracks glowed with an amber light from within. And it could move and talk, which it did. A lot.

"I wish you would stop bothering me." Killien groaned, "I'm just a solider. Find someone else. Someone like the bridgeman."

"You're the one I've been looking for. Something about you..."

"Whatever. I'm one duty in fifteen minutes."

Killien spun and marched back into Urithru.

Dar sighed going over his notes one more time.  His work growing steadily more tiresome.  He had always had trouble grinding away at a single problem but at least when his interest was engaged he could focus.  His lack of sleep was not helping either nor fact that the false Alethi betray had doubled his workload.  Why had his masters become so spooked that they required additional safeguards on top of the already rigorous ones they had had in the beginning?  A swirling pattern of light appeared at the edge of his vision.

"What?" Dar asked turning around.

No one answered and several gave him looks of annoyance.

Dar sighed.  He realy needed to get more sleep he thought returning to his work.

Ethri son Miserano grimaced as a cold wind struck him like a hammer blow. These months since he had left his homeland had been difficult. He had had to travel at night to avoid detection by any number of forces that might desire the sacred weapon that he had sworn to protect. The mad state of the world haunts Ethri's dreams. It all began with Szeth and the day that he was cast out as Truthless. That is when this nightmare had begun.

His reverie is broken by the recognition that the dawn is approaching. He gazes around the Almian countryside seeing little that can hide him. Perhaps he can reach Yezier by tomorrow. Then everything may just change.

Killen walked into his squad's barrack, grabbed his spear, and marched out. He met up with the rest of his squad at the gaurd station and they marched to the lifts. As they walked, Jie gave out orders.

"Looks like the bridgemen need some help with gaurd duty. Nothing important, just protecting the Azish bureaucrats. Word from the higher ups is the highprince wants them to feel protected, so they'd stay here."

Killien nodded, a hint of a smile on his face, as they rode the lift to the level where the Azish lawmakers were working.

"What are you smiling about?" the odd spren asked from his shoulder. The voice seemed more feminine than before.

"Well," he said quietly, "Two things. One, gaurd duty. I enjoy not being at the front of a battle once in a while. Secondly,I may get the chance to make fun of some high strung Azish scholars."

"Ah." she said. She remained silent until after he had settled in at his post in the corner, watching.

"What's your name?" she asked

"Killien. And yours?"

"Um..." he looked at her. Her shape had changed. She now appeared as a pretty ypung woman wearing some kind of uniform. "Call me Ji." she said finally. Oddly, she wore the clothing well, as if she were a solider.

Dar returned from his appointment with a smile on his face.  His request had finally made its way through the Azish bureaucracy and he was approved for a transfer to the new unified scholarship team working on fabrial lift construction.  Finally a chance to exercise his talents in an interesting field.  He almost ran back to his rooms.  He could not wait for his next assignment to begin.

"Why?" whispered a voice "Why change?" Dar froze.  I'm going mad he thought.  Its all those legal documents not an ounce of creativity or ingenuity to to them.  He could practically hear the his own voice listing off the protocol for authorizing none native guards for food aid in foreign nations.

"The authorization of any military force for the use of protecting food aid in foreign countries who report to commands not native to the country or countries who are receiving food aid must be given by the country or countries concerned along with the support of the majority of the member states of the coalition as given by the heads of state in those countries or authorized representatives.  Should the governments of countries believe that such aid poses a security risk to their own nation they may apply to the coalition for recognition of that status which shall be passed by the simply majority of the heads of state or authorized diplomats of all member nations presently of the coalition by simply majority vote. The purpose..."

The chip he was using for light went dark.

"Great."  Dar mumbled and got out another one.

Sopeh awoke, her hair and havah a mess. She was damp, likely from the rain last night seeping into the cave. She got up, and wiped the crem off of her havah. She walked out of the cave, the morning light blinding her for a second. She squinted, the opened her eyes, and looked for any signs of civilization. Nothing that she could see from under these hills.

"Looks like I'll have to do some trekking," Sopeh said. She looked down, and sighed. "I was never built for athletic work..."

Name: Ihishia

Age: 29 Rosharian Years

Nationality: Darkeyed Alethi of the Second Nahn

Appearance: A petite Alethi woman with dark yellowish eyes, and reddish-brown hair. Ihishia has a few dark scars over her body, and another large scar over her stomach.

Skills: Ihishia is skilled at communication, and is generally able to convince people of her trustworthiness. Her skills in writing and reading are also semi-advanced. Finally, Ihishia is able of body, and relatively good with a sword.

Abilities/Powers: Ihishia is a second ideal Dustbringer.

Backstory: Ihishia was born to a family of merchants in the city of Rashir, within the Sebariel Princedom. Her family trained her to follow in their path, and she proved herself skilled as she and her father traveled to Kholinar in order to peddle their wares. On the trip to the capital city, Ihishia started having seizures, which worried her father enough to believe that she had a Voidbringer possessing her. Once the pair reached Kholinar, Ihishia’s father was worried enough to contact the Vorin Church establishment, and Ihishia was taken away for an exorcism. This scarred the young girl so much that she developed a hatred for the church, and thusly bonded her Ashspren, Nevai, on their shared passion. After her captivity with the church, which happened for years, with much torture, Ihishia was finally declared as “cured” and she migrated towards the Shattered Plains, in order to become a merchant. After the battle of Stormseat, Ihishia moved to Urithru and began to learn about her Radiant nature, but shied away from such things at first. Finally, Ihishia confronted herself at the Battle of Thaylen Field, and swore her second oath.

Killien found himself back on one of the farming ledges, overlooking the Oathgates. He held out his hand and Ji walked on to it.

"I know what I should do. You've been hanging around for a while now, and I bet I've been sucking in Stormlight for at least as long." he sighed, "I should say the Words"

she nodded, a smile on her face.

"Fine. Life before Death, Strength before Weakness, Journey before Destination."

he didn't feel any diffrent. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a sphere, rolling it between his fingers.

"I'm gonna regret this." he muttered, then breathed in.

Nothing happened.

"Huh." Killien thought back to a story he had heard fom a bridgeman squire. He said you had to try to breathe in, but also not. Storming helpful, that. Well, only one way to continue; keep trying until he got it. He tried again. Nothing. Then again.

The sphere blinked out.

Killien whooped and jumped up into the air. When he landed, he lost his footing and tripped over the edge of the ledge. As he sailed down, he somehow managed to breathe in more Light.

He was laughing when he hit the ledge below, breaking several bones. Sormlight rushed to heal them and he jumped up, afire with Light. Killien ran inside, heading back to his quarters.

The sounds of waves slapping against a wooden hull wake Ethri son Miserano. He opens his eyes and gazes into the dim light that surrounds him. He can barely make out writhing forms which groan in pain. He struggles when he feels a hand brush against his ankle. His arms are tied tightly behind him though his legs are unbound. Ethri son Miserano  suddenly stills when he hears the word that is being whimpered around him Tukar.

Damp and pained, Sopeh wanders through Jah Keved for around four hours. She breathes heavily as she walks, stumbling every few steps. Sopeh treks up another hill, and as she reaches the top, sees a small Veden village nestled between two hills. Sopeh perks up, and slowly makes her way down the hill and to the village.

Sopeh reaches the entrance of the village, a stone wall with a small wooden gate. A well-built Veden darkeyes stands guard, armed with a spear in hand. Sopeh sluggishly raises her hand to the guard, muttering a simple "Help..." before collapsing on the ground.

Dar found that he could not sleep that night.  Their was a restless energy in him that he could not explain and nothing seemed able to cure.  Well if he could not sleep he may as well work.  The conjoined fabrials that made spanreeds work did not not allow for sound to move through them.  The new discovery of gemstones that if infused would produce sound .made for an intriguing possibility.  Perhaps in the future men would simple speak to each other long distances away.  But how to go about this...
