Alicila
The page Leras states that the bargain between Ruin and Preservation is that Preservation gets Scadrial and Ruin gets to destroy it. But I thought anything other than humans on Scadrial is neutral, neither of Ruin nor of Preservation, so the bargain should only include humans. Can someone familiar with this area help write it? Scion of the Mists
Everything on Scadrial (the plants, animals, and the planet itself) is a combination of both Preservation and Ruin. Humans just have a little more Preservation than Ruin. Excerpt from The Hero of Ages on the Scadrial page: Quote This, then, was their bargain. Preservation got mankind, the only creations that had more Preservation than Ruin in them, rather than a balance. Independent life that could think and feel. In exchange, Ruin was given a promise—and proof—that he could bring an end to all they had created together. It was the pact.
Quantus
What @Scion of the Mists said. Leras and Ati actually Created the whole planet, not just the the humans on it. It's the only instance we know of where Shards created something that large or complex. In the rest of the cases the planets, and sometimes the inhabitants were there prior to the Shattering.
