old man moomba
Dwig grabbed the glass of whiskey, checked his watch, ate the rest of the chouta and finally summoned his Shardblade. He mumbled something sounded like "Scadrial Gotspy" and cut his way through the wall onto the street. He didn't pay and had taken the whiskey with him. Quote But is there an actual story behind what's about to happen, or is this simply atmospheric combat? I know that killing some random NPCs might not seem as dramatic but it's also not going to irritate people whose characters are being dragged into a plot against their will, especially if there's not a particular purpose behind it. Nohadon
10 hours ago, Ark1002 said: A loud screeching sound, like nails on a chalkboard a hundred times, fills the tavern. Some of the patrons cover their ears, in pain. Suddenly, a human skull, surrounded by red transparent liquid, broke through the door. Small tentacles broke through one by one, eack with random bones within. Then the door exploded. Something similar to a mistwraith, but redish, and made for violence, broke through. It was huge, at least five times human size. Some of the bones inside were burnt, melted, or broken. It opened the mouth of the skull, and massive fangs became visible. It screeched louder, the same sound resonating. The sound came from behind the tavern as well, and the sound of breaking glass can be heard from upstairs. Bodies covered the street behind the creature, bitten into, destroyed. A nearby building was in flames. Bel woke up with a start to the loud screeching sound. She smelt the smoke. "damnation" She exclaimed, realising they were being attacked. She stood up and realised she was wearing nothing more than her shifts and sighed, putting on her armoured robes and Aon Daa gloves. She woke up Alson. "We're under attack." She told him "damnation" He replied. Taking his weapons and jumping climbing out the window onto the roof. He quickly set up a zipline from the tavern to the building across from it and got into a vantage point there. He assembled his rifle, the wooden stock engraved with the letters Ati's hand. He sighted at the monster, loading in an armour piercing round and fired. Bel got downstairs as she heard the gunshot. She nearly vomited from the stench of blood but managed to regain her composure. She punched towards the creature and her gloves flashed, a concussive blast was emitted from her fist, being sent straight towards the skull. Elend Venture
Nuemark downed 3 shots of whiskey before summoning Dark. He launched four tables at the evil-wraith with fifteen bindings each before they connected with the monster. Then he rushed forward, shardblade held high. Clyde Froggins
Maxwell turned around and saw a skull with tentacles attacking people, so he did the natural thing and started firing his revolver at the creature.
+Ark1002
The bullets were absorbed, untouching. It wrapped around the table, moving past it. Then the concussive blast hit. It's skull shattered, and it screeched again. It lashed forward, a tentacle wrapping around Maxwell's leg and pulling him closer, another gripping the hand holding the shardblade. It screeched again, and it was answered by the same sound upstairs.

Quote Because that's a thing that works. Probably. Quote We actually have a WoB about this. Theoretically it would work, but it requires way too much Stormlight to actually be usable. +Ark1002
It screeched, throwing Maxwell at the nearest illusion, whipping tentacles at the others. They blurred as the tentacles moved through them, and it ignored them. It moved towards Malu, then threw Nuemark at him. Crashes sounded from upstairs, and a screech.

Truthless of Shinovar
Tels jumped up in surprise as soon as the... thing came through the door. He began controlling large blasts of sand, coupled with smaller, blade-like ones, about 25 ribbons all together. They began to bludgeon and slice the thing with incredible precision and skill, severing one tentacle, which immediately caused destruction wherever it landed, and damaging a few others. Others in the tavern began to attack it as well, but the thing somehow still stood, despite the incredible force of the combined attacks. Sheesh, Tels thought. You just can't seem to find a good bar these days. Tels casually walked over to the bar, took a pitcher of water, along with a couple of coins left on the counter, and began to drain it while his ribbons continued to attack the monster.
