While the other two were distracted, Alum had managed to get away from the wall and summon Pyrus, so that the kick landed where he had once stood. He stood in his best approximation of a stance. It was a while since he’d fought someone.

Ninety seconds. He needed to finish this quickly.

Mack turned around and saw Alum facing the Barrier. Whatever else happened was useless if this next part didn't go through, and the armless freak and the Monk were threatening to stop it.

Pulling out he wand he tried to get a clear shot, but but because he needed to avoid the Ghostbloods, and the large distance between them, he couldn't get one. He needed more power. Something beyond what his feeble wand could use.

He began counting heartbeats as he tried to summon his last toy.

1... 2... 3...

He jumped to the side as a Dakhor monk tried to attack him, Storm it, only a few more seconds. 4... 5... The Dakhor turned around and tried to grab him, but Mack slipped to the side.

6... I need to end this quickly, he thought as stood watching the Dakhor. 7... Maybe this Dakhor will be the first to see its power. 8... Instead of dodging, Mack tapped his Aon Ien as the Dakhor lunged at him. 9... He grinned as he was tackled to the ground. 10...

"Long Live the Queen," he whispered as he struggled with the monk on the ground.

The temperature of the air fell by a few degrees as a Blade made of Ice fell into Mack's hand.

Created by the Queen herself, this blade was like an honorblade, but instead of giving access to the surges, it gave him access to the power of Queen Elsa Steelheart herself. Swiping the blade through the Dakhor monk laying on top of him, he pushed the corpse off and stood up.

Swinging it through the Air, he tested it out. A few frozen ghostbloods later, he knew it worked.

Then he positioned himself to shoot a bolt of ice at the Monk across the way.

Again, that NPC is being used, please don't godmod it.

Where did I godmod the monk that you are RPing?

I understand that I godmodded a generic monk that I created on the side of the ghostbloods, is that what you are saying isn’t alright?

So, since you fired at the monk fighting Alum, I'll wait for Ark to reply

Alum suffered bruising on his shin where Fred had kicked him, but managed to get into a fighting position regardless.

It shouldn't be too bad an injury. It's only a kick, and since you were dodging, it only glanced off.

Just so ya know. :)

Eighty six. The monk had grabbed Alum by the neck again, the warped bone rubbing against his skin, and squeezed. Hard.

He stopped thinking about the poison and started thinking about his neck - he couldn’t get his gun up in time, not without dropping Pyrus and drawing, pulling back the hammer, by which time his throat would be crushed. Alum couldn’t punch him, either - he had no training, and it was very likely he’d just break his hand as well as his neck. Then another fact came to him, very quickly, which was that he was still holding Pyrus, and that Shardblades were many things, including unwieldy, dangerous, and hard to use; but they were also much longer than a person’s reach, and the monk’s arm in particular. Alum swung the blade, one-handed, towards the monk’s abdomen.

Mack carefully took aim, and launched a spear of ice toward the monk attacking Alum. Storms, it missed. He watched as it fell in to the ground a few feet before hitting the monk. He needed to get closer. This sword was not designed for long range shooting. But, maybe it had a few tricks up its sleeve. He started running toward ark.

They said that the swords were instinctive, supplying knowledge to the user, like the Queens Power does.

As he tried to think of ways to get there quicker using ice and snow, all he could think of was ice skating and skiis. An image floated into his mind, a pattern to swing the sword.

He pauses at the top of a slope, and swings the sword in an oblong shape. Suddenly, ice and snow flew out of the end of the sword, forming themselves into a smooth track before him. 2 skiis formed around his feet.

Swinging his sword around, he sprayed Ice and snow at anyone who tried to get close to him as he waddled to the top of his track. He started sliding down the easy slope. Moving into a tuck, he tried to pick up speed while dodging people who were moving onto the track. Storm it, there are too many of them. He pulled out his sword and started shooting ice out in front of him to get people off. Unfortunately this slowed him down. Storm it. If only I could jump over these peo- wait a minute.  He pulled out his sword, and shot a ginormous blast of ice and snow at the ground, launching him into a completely uncontrolled and altogether stupid jump. He landed on a pair of men fighting. Swiping his sword through the ghostblood, he stood up. While a terrible tactical decision, his jump placed him 20 feet from Alum and the Monk.

Taking aim with his sword, he shot a bolt of ice at the Monk.

Fred jumped out of the way, so the ice blast wouldn't hit him.

'Darn Ghostbloods,' he thought. 'Why in the world am I here?'

Of course, he didn't really hate the Ghostbloods. They were a fun bunch.

Then again, here he was, fighting monk-things that might be from Dakhor, without knowing who was on his side, while someone he faintly recognized shot ice from the tip of a sword.

This ice, it should be noted, may or ma not have hit the target monk on it's way, but at least some of it hit Fred and froze his shoulder to the wall.

'Darn Ghostbloods,' he thought again.

Again, if you have trouble with the godmodding here, tell me.

The Dahkor noticed two things. There was a shardblade flying towards him. There was a blast of ice flying towards him. Years of training had honed his battle instincts, and he flipped Alum's arm into the way, the ice hitting the arm, the blade, freezing it to the ground. He grinned wildly, then squeezed again.

As long as you don’t back me into a corner, that’s fine.

Alum felt the ice wrap around his arm with the tick of the eighty five, and the squeeze of hard bone against his neck. Pyrus vanished from his frozen hand, sending ice crystals flying and mixing with the dark spots swimming in his vision. He was now positioned with one arm lying against the ground, his neck firmly in the grasp of the monk, and his other arm...

His other arm was free. He jabbed it towards the monk’s chest, between the third and fourth rib, and started to summon his Blade.

Problem: His bones are heavily distorted. You're just gonna hit bone.

The arm hit bone, bone strong enough to withstand a steel blade from point blank range. It was bone that had been dropped off a cliff, and survived unbroken. He grinned wildly, then grabbed the man's arm with his other hand, still choking. The man had to die soon. To quicken the process, he brought up his knee and slammed it into the man's chest.

The detainment unit of the barrier waited nearby, it couldn't actively assist in the breaking of the barrier, but it also needed its charge to survive so that it could hand him over to an administrator. Hundreds of tiny Aons on its face shifted, briefly constructing a small mustache so that it could twitch it in indecisive annoyance.

It could feel the drain on the Dor, the energy that made it up was being drained to other places, to the myriad of other Dor users in the vicinity. The usually rapid spinning and processing of its Aonic equations was slower, sluggish. It made processing its environmental conditions even more difficult.

Nearby its charge was being assaulted by another Dor user, a Dhakor monk from the looks of things. But could it assist? Ordinarily it would use the barriers defenses to deal with the monk, but the monk was also trying to protect the barrier and hadn't so far directly tried to interfere with it.

Its Aons flickered, growing dimmer again. Not long left, but it needed to complete it's mission. It needed to escort Alum to the Administrator.
