Quick question concerning credit

6 posts in this topic

I am new to Arcanum and was wondering how crediting people works because I was just going to go through and transcribe a ton in numerical order but I also want to credit people. Do people come in and credit themselves? Thanks!

Ultimately, it is on the question-asked to edit themselves in as the questioner. But you can check in on the Events and Signings thread for that particular tour stop and see who has reported stuff, and put their names in if you come across those questions.

I also have a question: If somebody asks a question in behalf of somebody else, who should be labeled as the credit?

I'd probably put the person who actually asked the question and use a footnote to indicate that it was asked on behalf of someone else. There isn't a hard and fast rule though, you can do it the other way too.

Official stance is that the actual person asking should always be the one credited (except if they are a moderator and taking questions from submissions in which case the submitter is credited).
