BitBitio
If Sanderson wrote horror, I would probably be an insomniac by now. If Sanderson wrote history textbooks, I would like history. Your turn!

Use the Falchion
He writes steampunk, a genre I tried to get into and failed to do so before Mistborn Era 2. And whenever he explains the trade system in the cognitive realm, I'll start to love economics.

king of nowhere
If sanderson was a policeman, people would intentionally commit crimes to get a report written by him If sanderson wrote obituaries, there would be a crowd in ffront of the graves of his customers. if sanderson wrote the news, people would pick up old newspapers to read them again if sanderson wrote medical recipes... they would still be inintelligible (in italy it's a common joke that doctors have horrible handwriting and their recipes look more like hierogliphics. Don't know if there are similar memes in other countries)

ebfritz
If Sanderson wrote math textbooks it would take years to do a single lesson because the word problems alone would be hundreds of pages long complete with plot twists and the occasional Hoid appearance. Also if he wrote a bird watchers guide everything would be chickens. Edited November 22, 2018 by ebfritz More information

The Technovore
If Brandon wrote children’s action shows then kids wouldn’t be screaming “Mighty morphin Power Rangers”, they’d be screaming “Life before Death! Strength before Weakness! Journey before Destination!” Which would be the absolute coolest thing your 5-9 year olds could possibly be screaming.

Have you not read Hoid's thoughts on humanity at the end of the SA books? If he wrote history books, they would be from the point of view of Atilla the Hun and the like, portraying them as tragic heroes. Everyone is the hero of their own story, after all.
