+Ark1002
Atticus stepped into the obsidian ring, breathing heavily. He wanted to kill. He was ready to kill. Fully equipped, he had huge power armor, reinforced power pack hidden in it, and his helmet back. But he had only brought two lenses. Two torturers lenses. He was here to die. And he was here to cause pain. That was why he was in the Arena of Blood. Three shades circled the perimeter, and it was filled with rivers of lava. Atticus knew it was heavily trapped. Atticus had already killed three here. Hopefully he would have an actual challenge this time. Quote Welcome to the Arena of Blood! It is an underground (literally) fighting arena. In the Arena of Blood, there is nothing humane. It is a duel to the death, and filled with traps to be set of by audience members at will. It was based off of the arena of valor, but a bloodier version. Any audience member can set off a trap, the moderator gets to decide if the trap is fair. There is guards, but if someone gets into the fight, they won't resist. The moderator is here for two reasons. Deciding damage points, and making sure everything is fair. If you reach zero hp, you are dead in this version though. The contestants are drugged so they can't be knocked out. Alleyverse characters: Atticus Voidlight: Spoiler Name: Atticus Voidlight Gender: Male Investiture: Oclulator, Spike through one eye granting both steelpushing and ironpulling Weaknesses: Has trouble thinking for himself, is overly cruel, and doesn't think highly of himself Equipment: Red power armor with plates of Hellbent's old armor (blood red with voidlight vein patterns) fused in on the arms, hands, legs, and feet. Hellgun, large collection of oculators lenses: Educators lenses, Voidstormers lenses, Shokers Lenses, transporters lenses Shamefillers lenses, warriors lenses, torturers lenses, shatterers lenses, oculators lenses, flamebringers lenses, bestowers lenses. Because he only has one eye, he has a spare of each. Appearance: He has midnight black hair, one eye that he always keeps covered, a spike through the other, and tan skin covered in scars he got while in the Blood Radiants. Age: 30 Homeland: The Hushlands History: Grew up as the son of a librarian, he was a dark oculator. He eventually ran away, ending up, totally by accident, in the alleyverse. He joined a gang in the alleycity for a few years, then went to Roshar. He became part of the Blood Radiants, the people who worshipped Hellbent as the Dark Herald. He got a new surname there, Voidlight. He became the Head Priest at 14. A month later, he was called to Hellbents funeral. He was given a set of red armor with voidlight veins. He left immediately, setting out to explore, and find a new purpose in life. He arrived after a while at the boundless worlds, where he met the now truebreeding constructs. He walked to the third of the five realms, the realm where Titan had his castle. As he strode up to the entrance two small figures burst out of the front of the palace, a small Kolossal boy, and a small girl that looked like Titan as a female child, with different patterns of gold and black, and a different build. Titan, the lord of the area, burst out of the front door, stooped, picked up the two giggling children. Atticus poked him in the highest place he could reach, about at his knee. He asked if they would give him steelsight. They spiked him through the eye with a steel spike. He left, but promised to return eventually. At fifteen he decided to join the Black Crusade, and became one of them, a space marine. He helped in there war against the chaos marines, with his vacations in the boundless worlds. Walker Drown: Spoiler Walker Drown Investitures: Double Steel Build: 6 ½ feet tall, and of normal build. Age: 23 Skills: Good with duel swords, Knives, and hand to hand combat. He also keep emergency steel reserves in his wrists, and an emergency knife strapped to the side of his leg under his pant leg, but over the metal plate. Clothes: Brown leather jacket over chain link and brown leather pants with metal plates strapped under them. Combat boots and leather gloves. Keeps his hair above his evers and about an inch above his shoulders, but that’s it. Personality: Very loyal, mildly cheerful, Kind of deceptive, doesn’t really trust himself to make his own judgements. He is very untrusting to someone he doesn’t know, but suffers from the delusion that if someone is part of a group they are as trustworthy as that group. Weakness: He is psychologically incapable of breaking a promise and won’t kill somebody without giving them a chance to fight back. History: He was abandoned by his parents because they couldn’t take care of him and was adopted by a world hopper. The world hopper found that he was twinborn and started training on Tavalin. When he was twelve he was told to store as much speed as he could in a small nugget of steel for a week, and when he was done, he was told to swallow it. He was than given another nugget and filled it with the investiture from the first nugget and swallowed it. He then repeated the process until he could barely extract all of the speed from the swallowed nugget in 5 minutes. He then had his ring engraved in the back of his mouth and stored all of his speed in it. He continued training in his swords, his knife and his hands, until he was 17. Than a sandling killed his master while they were training and sent him out alone. He had a fair amount of money and went to scadrial where he continued to train in the use of feruchemy with his terrisien ancestors for 2 years. He then moved to border land and trained in combat their as a mercenary for 2½ years before joining TUBA and becoming a soldier for them. He then met Dusk who joined TUBA a year after him and became incredibly close with him. He spent the extra half year filling his knowledge gaps about the cosmere and basic sciences. He still operated as a mercenary as long as the contract doesn’t threaten TUBA, which he treats as a new family. In another note: MODERATOR PLEASE! Darth Woodrack
Quote Walkers profile in the Alley-verse is outdated, so I'm going to include this. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about their being random traps that can be set of at will and audience members being able to join in at will. I don't want to have to fight all of GB at once. Devastor Pistol strapped to holstered to his right leg with steel leading to the battery so it can charge and a flamethrower strapped over his katanas. Just for this duel: Plasma rifle next to the flame thrower, a heat mace strapped to his left leg, with the same thing as his pistol, a strange syringe filled with an unknown liquid in his belt filled with an unknown liquid, and a aluminum mirror. He also has a fabrial projector, but that is more of a joke. Clothes: Brown leather jacket over chain link and brown leather pants with metal plates strapped under them. Combat boots and leather gloves. Keeps his hair above his evers and about an inch above his shoulders, but that’s it. Dusk had warned him against this duel, but he had already promised to particulate. He was going to put on a show. He looked at his opponent, in his Marine armor. 'Hmm,' he thought, 'I haven't killed one of those before.' He was ready to kill. He wasn't going to hold back. Metal would break tonight. Blood would be spilled, and skin will be burnt. "Let's fight," he said softly to his opponent. He wouldn't leave the arena tonight. Walker Drown was out for blood. Darth Woodrack
I would like that, but for some reason ark requires sleep. If Mac isn't on in the morning tomorrow that would be could. Also, could you limit the traps. He didn't ask me about those. MacThorstenson
Mac walked into the mediators box. Decided it was too drab, so he called in the DALRF department to spice things up. He went to the Mic and announced "Welcome one welcome all to the Arena of Blood! I am your mediator! Mac! All I have to say, is let the duel begin!" Quote I can mediate, for this duel if yall want. But I will be off the shard tonight, probably. After that I should be fine. Darth Woodrack
Walker ran at high speeds and rammed Atticus with his shoulder at high speeds, with the intent of testing the armor'r strength. +Ark1002
Quote Have fun with a new broken shoulder. Atticus watched as a blur ran into his armor. That didn't do much. Atticus pushed and pulled on every bit of metal he could see with steelsight on the body, then punched down toward it, a feral look in his eye.
Darth Woodrack
Quote Dislocated. Walker slid on the ground with his shoulder burning. He looked at it hanging to the side of his body. He rolled over and popped it back into his socket, gritting through the pain. He ran behind Atticus and pulled out his devastator pistol double tapping it into the back of his armor trying to pierce his power pack. MacThorstenson
Quote Atticus 100 HP Walker 95 So Walker's shoulder bump wouldn't have any effect beyond what would happen at running at normal speeds. F-steel doesn't appear to increase momentum. my reasoning is that in Shadows of Self, there is a scene where Paalm is speaking to Wax from a floor above, she rushes out the window and down past him. The window isn't damaged, the earth that she runs on isn't damaged, and she runs down a flight of stairs at speed. If your momentum was increased, you would damage the ground you were running on, and wouldn't be able to stop or finely control your movements, and the ground you run on would get torn up. F-Steel makes no sense at all in terms of laws of conservation of momentum, period. However, this means that Walkers shoulder isn't damaged. Atticus' punch does a fair amount of damage. Im going to say it connects with the chest, because of their relative heights. Atticus is a normal human in space marine armor, and while space marines are listed as 7 feet tall, Atticus wasn't born as one. Walker is 6.5 feet. That will be 5 points of damage to the chest, because of the boost of strength that the power armor gives. I'm going to say that pushing and pulling simultaneously on a piece of metal would cancel each other out, like a speed bubble, or rioting and soothing the same emotion at the same time. Allowing the metal to move freely. Pushing on some of the items and pulling on others would hold a person in place though, Edited October 19, 2018 by MacThorstenson
Darth Woodrack
Quote Don't forget my sentinel armor and silver chain-mail. Just saying this: the only non silver metal's on him are his steel reserves in his wrists and the batteries for his weapons which are charged with investiture. +Ark1002
Quote No one is born as a space marine. The genetic enhancements grow them to that size. Atticus saw the blue lines move. So he PUSHED them backwards as hard as he possibly could, while also shooting a huge plasma rifle. Quote Also, that isn't true. You misinterpreted that line. It's only special use is against shades. Quote Peter Ahlstrom Silver is not Allomantically inert the way aluminum is. In that annotation, Brandon just meant that silver didn't do anything if you swallowed it and tried to burn it. It can be Pushed and Pulled. Years after Brandon wrote that annotation, what he means by "Allomantically inert" has changed. Edited October 19, 2018 by Ark1002
MacThorstenson
Quote No, silver can be pushed and pulled on. Its allomatically inert, which means it can't be burnt. But it can still be pushed and pulled on. All metals excpet aluminum have that trait. Darth, you said that you tapped your pistol against his power pack? I don't think that that would do anything. Atticus' push would send Walker moving backwards. Atticus would need to turn and shoot him. I going to wait to see how walker reacts before assigning damage. At the minimum he will be getting 2 or three though.
Darth Woodrack
Walker slit his left wrist to remove his emergency iron reserves. He then swallowed it and flared it to push in one place. and wrapped with the heath that contained his emergency knife. The pack containing Atticus power pack. Quote This is a normal sized vile, and is in a position where slitting his wrist with his emergency knife wouldn't hurt him. To much. Though it would attract shades. Double tapped. It means shooting twice in the same place. Edited October 19, 2018 by DarthWoodrack
+Ark1002
Quote You should have actually said that. Also, you have to respond to my attack. MacThorstenson
Quote Ok, Atticus weighs more than Walker, so the push will make Atticus stumble a little, but move Walker back faster. This will cause Atticus' aim to be worse. In addition, atticus has to turn around and shoot at a target that is changing speeds. Ioc was so incredibly clever, it couldn't even think of a word to describe it. Ioc was the epitome of cunning. The Combatants wouldn't even see the trap coming. Ioc grinned so widely that its lips began to split, which Gold healed up pretty well. However, since the gold healed by growing the skin stuff on the lips, when Ioc was done smiling there was a lot of extra lip-skin. Huh. Time to everyone to be amazed at the amazing Ioc! Oh, so clever, oh, so cunning! Ioc reached into its bag and pulled out a rather large incendiary bomb, chucked it onto the field, and pushed the timed detonator button. The countdown started at 0:30 seconds. "OH YEAH!" Ioc yelled. "TAKE THAT, YOU... COMBATANTS! I AM IOC, THE CLEVEREST OF ALL!"
