A yell erupted in the crowd, tearing through the rest as a dome of light surrounded a figure coated head-to-toe in glowing turquoise armour. The dome moved with him as the figure advanced, pushing anyone in front to the sides. Another yell, and he expanded the forcefield to the size of a bus instantly and then back again to its normal size, throwing everyone away and creating a large clearing where the man stood. The armoured man thrust a hand to his side and a silvery-white sword fitting for the amour appeared in it.

Max was here.

Althea turned at the yells and it took her a moment to recognize the man inside. Max. She left Solace to Mr. Amber and Hellbent and spoke quietly in her device, telling some underlings to move those loyal to them away, get them to safety. They started immediatly and she stepped over ,to the border of the circle he had created, looking at him. His helmet covered his face and for a moment she wished she knew if he had succumbed to the voices in his head, or if he had managed to find a way.
"Max."
she greeted him wish his name, unsure what else to say. He had decided to follow Solace and from what she knew of his narrator, this meeting would be different from their last one. She looked at him again and then couldn't stop herself from adding.
"How are you?"
because apart from everything else and the fact their only conversation had taken a few minutes, this was important.

As my motto goes, when there’s an opportunity to make a good speech, take it! If your stuck for speech ideas we can talk in a PM and make it together, if you want.

Storms :P You know me too well.

Max heard the order to stand down, and was just about to hesitantly step back when he saw Althea.

No going back, Devaan’s voice was fresh in his mind. This is our burden.

Sethramir lay stationary in his grasp as Althea said his name, asked how he was. She seemed to care. Max couldn’t find the words to reply. Only a short few weeks(?) ago she’d talked to him, comforted him, tried to help his situation. He’d left DIDGERIDOO better than he’d ever been.

But it wasn’t enough, a spiteful voice whispered in his ear. The voices grew stronger and their words of pity WEREN’T ENOUGH!

The words became unintelligible as the voice turned into a scream. Even flaring his calming Aons he could no longer ignore them. He shuddered just at the thought of what would happen if he took his helmet off.

The Ghostbloods were weak. He’d heard the legends, the myths of what they’d been before the War. It was the only thing he could grab onto for comfort, a dream for his drowning mind to hold on to.

He’s seen the new Ghostbloods. He’d seen Lusk. He’d seen the way they used him, the way they wanted him only to control their beasts. He was a tool. A tool!

He’d joined the Ghostbloods to be like Rashan. But Rashan hadn’t been treated like a tool, had he? He hadn’t spent day after day in a locked room, being forced to Riot lest he starve. He hadn’t been mocked, and teased, and ridiculed for his skills.

Teased no longer, he thought as he unsummoned Sethramir And began to lift his arms up, outstretched, palms to the crowd. Mocked no longer!

Max began to yell. A primal roar of destruction sounded as he supertapped his Nicrosil-minds and sent a wave of Rioting through the veins of the whole city. His scream continued as he gave each individual in the city a duralumin-boost of Fear, Chaos, Panic, Hopelessness. He Rioted their insecurities, he enflamed their worries. The strongest Riot in the history of the Cosmere was happening in Oasis.

Mistings were specialised in their metal than Mistborn. If his Rioting was not equal to the Lord Ruler’s own, it was stronger.

But Max didn’t care. His eyes were closed and full of tears as he lifted his head and stared into the sky, channeling his anger, his frustration, his insanity. Like the scream of a Pheonix, Max was unstoppable. Allies, enemies, he didn't care. His hands trembled, and his forcefield remained as Max screamed.

Quote

Just to be clear, that’s a duralumin-spike of Rioting to every NPC/Character in the city, except instead of going away after a second, Max is keeping the spike up indefinitely until something happens.

With a short bark, a low growl towards Max and a flash of golden-brown fur. The labrador vanished from the vicinity.

EDIT:

Also, just a question but is Max deliberately limiting the range of this in any way? Or just not affecting his allies but otherwise pushing it out in every direction?

Weeks for Digeridoo is fine :)
And this is bad...

Althea saw Max turn towards her and then he lifted his hands and screamed. His scream tore through her, wiped out any coherent thought, shattered her, drove her to her knees. She screamed in response, pressed her hands angainst her face, smashing her sunglass. Blood ran down from her temples, but she didn't even feel it. This was her mistake, all of this was her mistake. Something familiar stired inside herself, a darkness she had buried long ago, she had fought out of, reaching out, claming her. From afar she heard Brashen's voice, he talked to her, tried to help her, but she couldn't even think about what he said. She was going to die here, and she would take all of them with her. All those that had decided to follow the council, would go down with her. She had failed, utterly and completely failed.
"I never told her."
her voice was raw, was she screaming? She didn't know, didn't even know if she spoke aloud or not.
"I never told her, that she has a sister, that she isn't alone."
Desperation grabbed her heart, dragged her deeper and deeper, and endless whirlwind of pain and death and fear. It was her mistake. She had been too afraid to approach her, to tell her that she existed. Had been too afraid to face the one that had taken her place, the one that had been loved by their parents. Had been too afraid to ever go back and face those that had left her alone. Hiding in a laboratory had been easy, a way to pretend the world didn't exist. She screamed again when the once familiar feeling of nothing seeped into her, a nothing born out of desperation, of pain. His pain. Another thing she had failed. She had known that he needed help, and she had let him go, she should have followed, should have tried more. A spanreed, anything for him to contact her, maybe make contact herself.
"I'm sorry Max. I failed you."
Brashen he was there, still talking, screaming at her, but she couldn't listen, couldn't bring herself to even try and grasp what he was saying. Her nails clawed into her head, drawing more blood, mixing with the tears that ran down her face. Althea succumed to the blackness as it roared awake, as it caressed her with its promisses, with its endlessness. And somewhere along that she felt herself break apart, like a glass falling onto the floor.

Her body no. Let's talk about her mind, when we know how long Max keeps that up. :D

Edit: to make this clear I love that situation. You just hit both parts of her background I didn't put in her bio for some rp reasons, and that's great!!!

Nope, he's just going full out in any direction. I originally had him restricting it to those who weren't his allies, but I'm considering editing it as it would be more in-character for him to just not care about anything else for the moment (sorry, allies).

Have you seen the movie Chronicle? It's a great movie, but I'm comparing this to a scene in that where one person (at the end of the film) is going crazy and effectively doing the same thing Max is, except since he has telekinesis he's effectively tearing down buildings, not caring for allies or anything. It's a pretty powerful scene, you can feel his pain. To anyone reading, if you want to find the scene just type 'Andrew tears down buildings chronicle' you should probably be able to get to it.

That movie is great!

And that reference made your scene even harder... poor Max...

The wave of emotional pain ripped through Valdwen, and he was reduced to a pile of motionless meat on the ground.  Aeodin, being far older, took it better.  As it was, it still drove him to his knees.  He reached out a shaky hand to draw the Aon Edo, but failed and collapsed completely.

It does have a beautiful kind of irony to it.

This may sound really stupid but what's the irony?

A secret, for now.
It will be more obvious when it happens.

Dwig felt the wave of emotion almost run him over, and with enormous effort, tapped speed. The wave of emotion slowed to a crawl, then he reached into his pocket and pulled out an aluminum beenie, which he placed on his head. He sighed with relief as the emotion abated.
