"No. No of course not," Deras replied, he wasn't actually sure if that was the case, but he liked being thorough after everything that's happened in the past with all the Chaos and such. He looked back at the man, "I have a plan. Do you have any technology that can track me as well? A tracker of any kind?" @Dr. Jacques Rodriguez

"Alright, set it to tracking me, so I can tell you the plan." Deras said, leaning in to make sure there weren't any other ears that could hear the plan, after that, he winked out of existence, and reappeared some thousand kilometers from the city.

Then he started running, winking out, running, winking out again. The first few times, he stumbled, but he eventually got the hang of it.

The wall-that-wasn't stood firm in the face of the torrent of fire she unleashed towards it. She let out a short hiss of frustration before taking a calming breath of burning air. It seemed that this foe was beyond the strength of fire alone. But she was not only fire and heat. She was the wrath of the heavens. Her creators had told her that she could defeat anything. Even if those two squabling siblings of her put aside their endless argument and joined forces to fight her, she was sure she would be victorious.

Wait. She thought-spoke to the flame kin. Or hide. Great pain is coming.

She took her distance from the invisible wall, circling overhead.

Se circled higher and higher, patiently building up speed and searching until she found something appropriate.

Perhaps a dozen miles to the south, a mountain. Small as mountains go, barely more than a hill. But it suited her purpose fine.

Darting forward at a speed dozens of times faster than could be natural, she flew towards it.

The weight of her momentum, the strength of her talons, the surge of the storm that she hurled into the rock as she struck it. All of these things were needed as she pulled the large heart of it free. Hundreds of tons of stone tore free from the earth, held somehow weightless in her talons.

In moments, the heat from her body had begun to seep into it. The stone under her claws began to feel warm against her skin. For a moment she almost contemplated leaving the hunt to enjoy this for longer. But the spirit of the hunt, the frenzy of the storm, and the fury of her flame, all drove her back.

With the force of a falling meteorite, she hurled the stone, and herself, back to the forest of stone and all the prey who still hid within.

Alright, cool. Just so you know, using information from the Devaan v Rashan duel, any wound from Sethramir is going to do heavy spiritual damage to Hellbent, and will prevent him from using any spiritual Investiture unless he can find a way to heal spiritual wounds.

He looked to the other man again, "I suppose that you oversaw the one responsible's death? Were there any witnesses if not? There are many times when people you think are dead aren't."

Max looked up at the Pheonix smashing itself against the wall, and turned back. “Yes, I saw him die myself.”

Also, if we’re hoping to kill the Pheonix, let’s hope we can actually do it. The last time we tried we ended with a lot of dead people and an alive Pheonix.

Good morning!
This starts slightly before the phoenix attacks.

Althea saw something change in Sephtis face as he really went to help Max. The darkness, destroy me, before the darkness takes hold of me. His words. She needed to talk to him. Sometimes.
And as suddenly as it had started, it was over. The desperation left, the guilt, the pain, it all subsided leaving her empty. Nothingness consumed her mind and she staggered, stumbled to the ground again.

It took her a while to collect herself, but when she was able to at least think enough again, she realized that she had missed a lot. The Phoenix. she knew she should feel fear, but there was nothing, thing compared to the storm that had consumed her only moments earlier. She got to her feet and looked around. Max. He wasn't able to get out on his own. She staggered over, stumbling over a head here and a corpse there. Fire.
"Max. What is going on? We need to go to Sephtis."
she called his name, when she finally saw him, was he fighting? She wasn't sure, there was so much happenening.

@I think I am here.

A massive rift opened in the airspace above Oasis, and hundreds of craft poured out. Three battleships, two hundred fighter wings, along with about fifty bombers with escorts. All of the craft formed up, and targeted the Phoenix, but waited to fire until ordered.

Inside the barrier?

As Deras waited for the fleet, the Phoenix had began leaving, then when it came back it brought with it a huge meteorite and hurled it at the city. He wasn't sure if the barrier could take that, but he wasn't going to take any chances. His keen senses could still keep up, but barely, so he did what he planned to, not waiting for the fleet anymore.

@Voidus

The Lifeless Epic world-shifted into the Spiritual Realm one more time as he'd built up enough speed. Then he shifted again back to the Material Plane, on an angle that was parallel to the ground. At sub-relativistic speeds, his Reinforced Aonic Shielding could barely hold on to the force of the 3rd law acting against it, but it renewed itself from the Dor constantly. He stretched his hands, his augmented physiology was exponentially increased by the enhancements of being a Lifeless, the spikes themselves, the armor, and the pumps of ichor alcohol that were pumping much much faster than a human heart. The exponential power looped in on itself and fed itself more power as he traveled.

Everything was in slow motion.

First, he grabbed the chunk of land that the Phoenix tried to use as a meteoric weapon against the city, then he shifted both he and the stone into the Spiritual Realm, then again, back into the material plane, but he made sure to shift near the Phoenix, about a meter in distance. The force and momentum of the stone was preserved, but redirected and it was now heading straight toward the one who made. The Phoenix, no matter how fast, wouldn't be able to dodge a stone this size going this fast this close.

And if it somehow did, he still had a contingency.

He shifted again, preserving the force and went into the spiritual realm, he let himself fall for a timeless moment, then emerged again, this time right after the Phoenix was hit with its own attack, and he would crash into the Phoenix, shardblade first. From there he still had more plans, more and more plans.

What was he in the past?

No, outside, but the battleships have shields that are fairly powerful, and the smaller craft have shields as well.

The craft got the order to fire, and layed in with gusto.. Molten metal, plasma blasts, missles, bullets, bombs, lasers, cold fusion bursts, spikes, blades and nails were all launched at the Phioenix.

I advise against this course of action.
Hundreds of tons of stone, moving at ~2000m/s at this point.
= lots and lots of energy = instant death to people who touch it.

You also can't change the direction of something while conserving momentum, momentum is a vector. So teleporting it behind the Phoenix would work, so that it's moving in the same direction but from a different position, but then it wouldn't hit because they're moving at the same speed originally but she's still accelerating.

that's part of his kit c:

but yeah, besides that, he changed the direction within the Spiritual Realm where everywhere is the same place, so space doesn't really matter there.

Couldnt find anything in the char profile for this, what specifically?

Space not mattering doesn't mean it's freely editable ?
In fact, space not mattering means momentum doesn't exist in the spiritual realm as velocity is inherently tied to spatial positioning over time. Using the SR as a means of teleportation I could get behind, but freely altering momentum is a serious concern, that's universe-ending stuff.

it's not part of his sheet yet

It's part of his past, that's why he can teleport between Material, Cognitive, and Spiritual. He's an Epic before he died. He wasn't a particularly powerful one. His kit included worldhopping, (which is useless on Earth if the world is only one layer deep, but immensely useful in the Alleyverse), exponential physiological augmentation, which triggers on either building force on himself like running, or continued combat (which he really didn't have time to build up, until now that he's a Lifeless with a lot of strength spikes and the armor which exacerbates that, making it mostly an exponential loop,) and force, and velocity redirection that is dependent on his physiology
