Herowannabe
Fair enough. Actually, as I think about it, I say don't tell us. The only people that benefit from you telling us are those who already have multiple Breaths. Those with only one Breath really only have one option: try to get more. That's true whether there is 1 Breath up for grabs or 10. Those with multiple Breaths might decide to do one of their other night actions if there are few Breaths available, or go for more Breaths if there are a lot up for grabs. A Joe in the Bush
What are the Words we need to Say to enter the Lottery? Is it Just "Game 4 : the Only Joe; I'm entering the Lottery" in a PM? i find it funny that everyone who works at my Restauraunt voted for Ben. Sorry man, I'm glad ou Sruvived. An Night fell, and the People went to their homes or rooms, Jeo sat alone in the Kitchen, Thinking. Why had he voted for Ben? because Aili had? Dainard had been more Suspicious, But no one else believed him. But they needed to kil someone, if just to prove their Innocence. dyring
"The suspiciously suspicious person claiming to be a known scholar and nothing else got away. Perhaps he is not what he is saying that he isnt. This Thomas, perhaps he is bad, good. Maybe just ugly. The hat is. Perhaps he wants to buy a prettier one. If so, it is lucky he was not killed. Either way, lets look on things with ratinal logic before we scream on top of our lungs to kill someone. Soon it is night, let us see who dies. Maybe they will lack hats to, wich would be a shame, since they died and wont be able to buy new ones, like that would otherwise. That is, if they were alive. Then they could have bought hats. Yes, I got it. It is foolproof. I will start imidiately." Dyrri at this point starts going around the room, studying everyones hats.
Wyrmhero
Wyrm was glad that neither of the two suspects had died, even if he had voted for one of them himself. They just needed information, and even accusing someone gave information they could use. He'd never expected other people to jump in an agree with him. Did they have information he didn't have? No, impossible. Most of them had only just arrived. They couldn't have been investigating one-another already. Maybe they were just guessing. ...Maybe they were trying to get Thomas killed. All the same, he was glad that he wasn't responsible for a death after all that. He would probably be responsible for someone's death soon, if these Pahn Kahl agents weren't caught, but the longer he could delay it the easier he could sleep. Though he doubted he'd be sleeping well for some time regardless. So is it good or bad we didn't kill anyone?
Aonar
Wyrm: Hard to say. There's mixed good and bad in it from the perspective of all of the Factions. It assists the Pahn Kahl, Idrians and Hallandrens, and it sets back the Pahn Kahl, Idrians and Hallandrens. Overall though, I'd say bad. No lynch helps the Pahn Kahl most and sets them back least.
GreyPilgrim
Grim made his way out of the Green Potato, mulling over the day's events. He couldn't believe people had turned to killing so soon; death in response to death? There was little logic in that. He knew inside, however, that it was only a matter of time before someone else was killed. Today's events made such inevitable. He realized Swimim had not made an appearance today. What had the man been up to? Grim had often thought that the man's rambling, oddly formed speech was a cover-up for a greater level of intelligence. That, or a sign of great stupidity. Could there be more to Swimim? So many things to keep in mind...
Edgedancer
After Ben managed to slip himself away from his almost execution he run to the residents of himself and the three priests that accompanied him. The other priests swiftly decided to barricade their doors to keep anyone else from attacking Ben. As soon as they finished their work Ben spoke a prayer for those that helped him escape, he owned them a great deal of gratitude. Just assume that Eddy got into trouble at the bar because he wanted to pay with a stick. Someone told him they are highly valuable holy relicts.

Awesomeness Summoned
@aonar, I fail to see how not lynching someone benefits the PK the most. It's all relat Edit: stupid phone ... It's all relative. If Thomas or Ben were PK than a no vote benefits them greatly. If they weren't, then it's a major loss for them because they don't have a body to try and grab and they don't get to reduce the number of people against them. The fact that the vote numbers were so low for both made me believe neither were PK which is why I tried to tie it and make a no vote. From what I've seen previous games, the bad guys are most certainly going to ensure their team doesn't get lynched. With how close the vote was, they would have jumped in to make sure the non PK were lynched. That wasn't the case. It just took one vote at the last minute so unlikely either were PK. It was also very enlightening that as soon as Thomas started getting voted for, two people suddenly switched their votes to counteract it. It could just be the hellendren/Idrian thing but it's definitely going on my list of suspicious behavior. little wilson
I fail to see how not lynching someone benefits the PK the most. Unless we have Lifeless or some other way to kill at night, the only chance we have to kill the Pahn Kahl is during the day. By lynching them. Personally, I'm okay with us not killing someone on the first day, because there's so little information to go off of. But the way this worked out was even better. No one died, but we did get a bit of information. The night will still give us more though. And now. For a bit of RP. Wil'son hated black. It emphasized her pale skin, washing her out. She loved color, not the lack of it. But Paxen was dead. Not that she actually cared about the Idrian. But Bebid still hadn't shown up either. And with the way things were going, she had a funny feeling in her chest that told her the priest wouldn't arrive. So she wore black. For both men. It's only for a couple days, though, she thought. I just can't abide black for longer than that. The day had been one of the most nerve-wracking days in her life. Accusations had been tossed around right and left. This town had been peaceful for as long as she'd been alive. Sure, she'd heard rumors of troubling times with the God King, but not here. Those things weren't supposed to reach her home. But they had. And now Idrians had just tried to kill Ben--a priest of all things. What was the world coming to? Wil'son bustled around her shop, tidying things up for the night. When they'd broken up for the night, she'd heard some of the others worry that the Pahn Kahl would try to disrupt their peace even more tonight. She prayed to Mercystar that nothing would happen. She looked out the window, at the dark street outside. It was so quiet. Almost eerily so. Stop it, she chided herself. Don't let their words get to you. Nothing's going to happen. You're making a mountain out of a molehill, you'll see. You'll wake up in the morning, and Bebid will be here. You can go back to wearing color, and we'll work the peace treaty out, and everything will be fine. You'll see. She nodded her head emphatically and turned away from the window, walking briskly to the back of the shop, where she took the stairs up to her little apartment above her shop. Sleep came quickly, and she welcomed it.
GreyPilgrim
This is kind of a late time to ask this, but everyone seems to be assuming this RP is taking place around the same time as Warbreaker, not too long after. Are we running with that assumption? Not that important, just wanted to confirm.

Gamma Fiend
The crowd had riled itself up into a frenzy and had almost murdered one of Gammer's fellow Halledrens, not that she felt any particular kinship with any of her countrymen, but then cries against the Idrians also got one of their numbers hanged. It was of course, a very interesting development of events. Gammer was content on still sitting quietly, observing all the action as it unfolded. It was probably a good thing that nobody had died, she reckoned. It was one less body that a lifeless could made from.Gammer might have been from Halledren but it didn't mean that she had to feel comfortable around those colour-cursed things. Not that Awakened straw-men were much more natural. She sighed and just bowed her head and continued her embroidery. It still had a long way to go until completion. the Gleeman
Thomas was annoyed... He saw no reason to kill anyone yet, least of all himself. He was quiet it's true but since when did that qualify as suspicious? He went for a walk down the main thoroughfare of the town. He couldn't believe that accusations were leveled against him. It was time for him to explore anyhow. He didn't know the area well and exploring was an activity he enjoyed greatly. That and reading; he had found a nice shop on the outskirts that he had spent some time at. Edited April 6, 2014 by the Gleeman

Gamma Fiend
Gamma, are you going for the Madame Defarge character, because you seem to have nailed it? Huh. Didn't know who that was, but a quick Google search informed me. Never read Tale of Two Cities, but I gotta say, wow. Gammer is pretty close to Madame Dafarge. At least with the whole just chilling and knitting thing. Just maybe not as spiteful. Madame Dafarge is labeled as a villain, so I don't want to be associated with that. I swear I'm a nice old lady! I at first said I wanted to be a cross between Cadsuane and lady Olyena, but yeah, I definitely think I've unknowingly come across as that Madame Dafarge. I'm cool with that, though. Metacognition
Personally, I think the day was a success. We got a lot of information out of it, due to how the voting took place and how it was concluded. It has at least helped me narrow down a few suspects and I doubt I'm the only one. For tonight, I'm going to ask that the person with the Lifeless Commands not use them yet. If they don't use them, then the Pahn Kahl will be the only ones doing any killing tonight, so if a strawman or something actually finds someone in the act of killing, then we know we have a Pahn Kahl on our hands. If I had the Commands, I'd be waiting until I had a bit more information before targeting people for death, like I did last game. As far as my breath goes, I've already sent in the order to Claincy. You can kill me now, Pahn Kahl, but you'll get nothing more out of it except a dead Hallendren. Cog walked reluctantly to the meeting spot. He didn't want to do this, but he didn't see any other way. You'll survive, Cog. He thought. With a little luck, you'll be able to get your breath back in no time. For now, you need the information more than you need the breath. He reached the room that the Idrian Ambassador had been killed in. It was still sealed shut, but Cog was prepared. Locks were a simple mechanism for him and he easily managed to pick the lock. Inside the room, the ambassador's body had already been removed. The only evidence that a death had occurred here was the discolored section of floor that had been drained. The only light was the moonlight streaming in from the open window. The room was cloaked in ribbons of shadow and Cog thought his acquaintance had decided not to show when suddenly one of the shadows moved. "Are you ready?" Cog swallowed down his fear and nodded. "You promise you're going to find whoever did this for me and stop this from continuing to happen, right?" "I've already told you I will." "Yes, but I still need to hear it. I just need to assure myself. Please." The shadow sighed. "Very well. I promise you that your Breath will not go to waste. I will hunt down these so-called assassins and keep you informed of my progress. Happy?" "No, but it needs to be done. I won't see my home be torn asunder just because the Pahn Kahl have a score to settle. My life to yours. My breath become yours." The last bit came out in a rush and Cog immediately felt drained. Every other time he had used his breath, he was distracted by the wonder of a new invention. He didn't have that this time and the difference was distinct. "There, it is done. Now if you'll please. I need a moment before heading home." The shadow left and Cog sank onto the bed, feeling numb. It was some hours later before his slumped and weary form made its way back to the shop.

bartbug
Oh, and I'm going to go with Meta here, and announce that I am totally Drab. No Breath left to me, and I'm happy. More than that, however, I would implore my fellow Hellandrens, and my fellow Idrians, to do the same. For the Hallandrens, give your Breath away if you only have one or two, and build a strawman if you have three. That way, you have a little soldier to do work for you, and your Breath cannot be stolen by the Pahn Kahl. And for the Idrians: Choose someone, maybe a spy, to give your single Breath to so that they can put it away in an Awakened strawman. Claincy
Just a few clarifications and reiterations of things people may have missed or I didn't think of. When giving someone a breath during the night send a pm to me saying you are doing so, you can also send a pm to the person to let them know but the pm's should be separate. I'll explain the reasoning behind this if anyone asks I do not require you to include me in pms. There is nothing like uber-tin in this game and my inbox is already getting swamped as is Thanks to those who did, but it isn't necessary. When sending in night orders please do it in one of the following ways (and be consistent across nights): -Send me a new pm titled "Game 4 Night X <characterName> and tell me your night action in there. OR -Post it in the thread I sent you your role in but note the night and post it in blue and in a larger font. eg. "Night 1 Claincy: Narrate" That will just make it much easier for me to keep track of everything and make it less likely that I will miss or forget one of your orders if I read it when I don't have a chance to add it to the spreadsheet. @Joe, anything along the lines of "I'm buying breath" or "I'm entering the lottery" so long as it makes it clear what you are doing. Sorry, this is a newb question: The full topic for this game is locked. Will we just have a different topic for each day/night which then gets merged with the original? I like this better; its easier to navigate. Yes This is kind of a late time to ask this, but everyone seems to be assuming this RP is taking place around the same time as Warbreaker, not too long after. Are we running with that assumption? Not that important, just wanted to confirm. It wasn't initially planned but someone put it in their rp and id decided to roll with it effectively confirming it in the OP of this thread. Mailliw73
Aw colors. If I had been able to get on again sometime during the night, I would've retracted my vote. That way we would've learned at least one persons role, even if he is Idrian(supposedly). Aili was disappointed that the strange Hallandren priest has avoided execution. Not that she liked death, she had decided that the knowledge would be worth it. But then the Hallandrens had taken their own executionee from the Idrians and then it was all just a mess. Aili didn't know what to do, so she decided to sleep. Then maybe her dreams would be happier. She didn't like sadness.
Claincy
Some info on the order of night actions. To reiterate what I said earlier (just in case) before all night actions have to be in by the 36 hour mark as the last 12 hours is for the returned to decide if they want to save anyone. The returned shouldn't tell anyone else who is going to die during this period. I'm watching you... ; ) Saving someone as a returned takes your night action, cancelling whatever you were going to do. IF your action was a kill you cannot do this. (So a kill through lifeless commands or an awakened sword.) Night activities all occur at the end of the night, the order is a little odd if you think about it, but spying and aura recognition detects people as they are at the start of the night. For a more exact order: -Spy, aura recognition -awakening (except awakened rope will still cancel spying and aura recognition...go figure) -strawmen -Breath Lottery/Giving breath -kills -returned saving Edit: Forgot to place Giving Breath Edited April 7, 2014 by lord Claincy Ffnord
el_warko
Elo was angry. That was usual. Elo was very angry, again not unheard of. Gryff had died before the Idrian ambassador. It would be too hard to pin the murder on his wife. Elo used some lute wire to floss his teeth. The other patrons of the Green Potato shot him filthy looks. "Go colour yourselves" he started towards the patrons who shied away. "Just as well" Elo settled up with Master Clement and left the bar. Turned right and headed for home. It was late, he was tired. He smelled the smoke before he saw the fire. "My house!" Elo broke into a run. The blaze had started in the upstairs bedroom by the looks of things. The ground floor was not on fire yet. "The dog!!" A strange mutt had showed up with bright eyes a few nights back. He seemed to be looking for someone. Elo had decided to name the dog Baldrick. He burst through the door and ran upstairs. He could barely breathe. The smoke was blinding and clogging his lungs. The dog was nowhere to be seen. Elo ran back downstairs. He liked the dog but wasn’t prepared to die for him. Elo left the house and started coughing. He was bent over barely breathing. He never saw the group come up behind him but felt arms around him adn a bag placed over his head. "This is for Gryff you child born out of Wedlock" A billy club came down on his head. He was dragged back into the house and left for dead. Smoke, pain, disorientation. Dog? Elo was pulled out into the street by the scruff of his neck. He looked up to see a doggy grin and tongue lolling. He passed out again. Baldrick sat down in front of his new master and stood guard. My way of saying I'll be out of the loop (ish) for a bit. Been called away for work and reception will be patchy. If I'm to be cast to the lions for inactivity (I'd understand) so be it.
