not yet, specifically, although london is probably the easiest place for all people to go to, trainwise (though im super biased being a londoner myself)

Yeah London is very easy to get to. I'd suggest (for ease of non-londoners) that we choose a pub near to one of the main stations, so there isn't a massive possibility of getting lost, or that if there is a large enough people getting a train that we all meet there and go to a pub from there.

@sabrina, do you want to add location of residence to the poll to see which is the best station to meet near?

My work schedule means weekends arent great so I just ticked the ones i can fully commit to. If another date is decided on the weekend I cant guarantee attendance, but will do my best. This also heavily depends on what time this would be starting, I live/work in London so not a problem for me to meet in evenings.

April the 19th seems to be a popular date. How would everyone feel agreeing to do it then?

In terms of what to do Sabrina, being a master of finding artful places filled with culture, recommended this bar. You get a case and you (presumably) solve it over the evening over drinks and food. Would people want an eventful evening like that? Or something more laid back?

When I went there we didnt get to properly solve a case but you have to pretend to have one to get in, its got a very prohibition/speakeasy vibe and is pretty darn cool. can be pricey though - london always is - beer £4-5 cocktails £9-11 but really good cocktails.

There are normal pubs in that area too though.

Brotherhood without banners always met at this pub near oxford circus though i forgot the name...

other cool places ive seen:

Ooh! thought!

'be at one' is fairly reasonable (london wise) and there are several about and you can reserve areas and 2 for 1 cocktails during the happy hours. the happy hours vary from bar to bar but we can look for the one with the longest

might be worth going to a standard pub place so we can chat though. Thoughts?

Not being an expert in pubs, I defer to any suggestions. I would check for age restrictions, though.

1. Not sure if I'll be able to make 19th, but will try.

2. I don't really mind where we go, so long as it allows 16s and over, and we get a map. Is there going to be anyone else getting the train?

3. What kind of time of day? Are we going to have a meal as well? Are we going to do optional meal?

Crashing browsers are annoying. Browsers should all save your text.

Old Explorer Pub? Phoenix?

Be at one looks very fancy. I don't really mind one way or the other, since I can't visit I can't really judge them.

I should hopefully be fine on that date. And I don't mind where it is so I'll leave it up to you guys.

I should be ok for the 19th (so long as my wife will sign the day release paperwork that is ;))

Can get the morning train down on Sat and back on Sun.

As for location, anywhere that we can drink and dine is cool with me.

I am game for this! I work Mon-Fri so weekends work best, but if there is enough notice I can book a day off in the week :)

We're going to try to make the 19th.

I earlier googled asoiaf pubs and found the Old Explorer Pub and Phoenix. If Sabrina or someone checks those out to see if they are decent maybe we could go to one of them. I suppose I could check them out today, though it's somewhat off my route.

I'm actually going to be down in London on the 19th, so depending on what my plans end up being I'll try and come along.

And here I was assuming this place would be more American focused.

Anyone coming up from the South - West?

I'd love to come to a meet, so long as no one minds being ambushed by a really new, unknown member.
