In Ookla terms, that meant doing so was a cinch.

It was at this point that the screaming PCF fell onto his table.

Mythos walked over and inspected the circlet. He nodded, "Nowhere's make... what'd you do to make him do this?"

Mythos raised an eyebrow skeptically, "Nowhere doesn't do things like that. I'll ask him." He pulled out a small device and held it up to his ear.

"STUPID DEVICE. MAKES IT HARD TO-"

The device puffed into smoke.

"There. Much better. Now, who were you exactly?"

Mythos stood up taller. He wore a militaristic black and silver uniform with a belt with various pouches and vials on it. "I am Mythos, narrator and mayor of Everandom."

"Ah, Mythos. You know, Nowhere told me to try and kill you."

He chuckled, "then he must really have disliked you." He smiled softly, sitting back down, "why don't you join me for dinner?"

"As long as you don't do something idiotic like try to kill me, sure," he chuckled and he made a gesture, an empty plate appeared in front of PFC. "Just say whatever you want to have and it'll appear. Ingenious things, these plates. I bought them off of Nowhere a few weeks ago."

"At first I did have to, but now it's fairly easy. You see, I had part narration power before I really became one. It was odd." he had a bite of his slice of Stormlight pie and continued. "Then again, the man who engineered my powers in the first place, Rond, is an odd fe-." Shadow stepped out from the shadows and smiled. Mythos said, "oh, right... you won the last one."

Shadow grinned, "well, I do have a knack for predicting things. Pay up."

Mythos grumbled, but gave Shadow a few glowing coins and sighed. He turned to PFC and explained, "Shadow bet that AdoKho would call me his father after getting drunk on that new drink, "Root" or whatever it's called."

Shadow nodded, still smiling, then walked away, disappearing with a small warping of the air.

"I... see. Well, I must return to my quest. After I prove myself a worthy Narrator, perhaps I can get to know you better."

Mythos nodded, "alright then. Your quest is to kill someone to become a hero, right?"

"No. My quest is to prove that I can be an interesting character, and am worthy of becoming the Narrator of Nameless."

“In that case,” a mysterious creature says helpfully, “kill @Ookla the platypus! That’ll make you very interesting.”
