He has enough Breath to be at least the 2nd Heightening, he is a Lerasium Mistborn, he has some form of Yolen Lightweaving, he has some regenerative power, and he just recently obtained a Cryptic. By no means is he just a regular human, but compared to the power a shard has Hoid is small. Another thing on him fighting anyone is that Hoid seemingly can't be injured or even touched by even things like Shardblades as shown by his encounter with Jasnah.
