So, stat wise, does this game count as a survival for me?

Well, you're not dead nor are you locked away in the Crockery so I would say that you did survive.

Gambling den sounds like a fun idea. I just hope it isn't basically "put in one talent, you get a 50/50 to double or nothing." At that point it becomes raw luck, which I don't like. But calculated risks... Well, that's a major part of this game. If the gambling was a little more nuanced, it could certainly be an excellent addition to the game.

Where's the fun in that?  My idea is more that the House uses a 1d20 and the player can pick up to five numbers.  If they pick just one and win then they win 20x the amount gambled.  If they pick 5 then they get 4x the amount they bet.  Just having a 50/50 shot at winning is boring.  Naming might be usable to stack the odds in your favor.  There might even be different games of chance on different cycles.  All depends on how it works out.  I'm sure Wilson and co will do a great job of balancing it out.  Just remember that I get a cut of all profits. :P

I'm glad to see we agree then... :P

I like this idea, but you're forgetting that the House has to take a cut, too. If they used your numbers a player playing the game an infinite amount of times would break even, leaving no net profit for the House. What if we threw in a 5 to 10% casino fee deducted from all winnings?

Also, all of this talk of gambling makes me want to run another gambler character, like that last one with the wine bottle that I killed Lopen to get back.

Anyways, El your writeups have been excellent. :)

Also I would like to mention that I studied artificery, not physicking. Although I doubt the information would have mattered.

Also out of curiosity, what was the reasoning behind double tapping me? It may have been voiced in a post, but I've only really been reading write-ups for this game recently. What with having a single ward before getting expelled, I am fairly sure that Jondesu was one of the attackers.

-Devi's interest rates are ruinous (which imo is as it should be, because this is Devi we are talking about), but the real kicker I think is that you just can't take out enough of a loan for it to be worth it. I mean, part of the point of a gaelet is that they will loan out to you an unsafe amount, simply because they are also going to charge really steep interest rates. Maybe you should be able to offer up certain items as collateral or something? Or maybe the consequences of defaulting on the loan could be steeper (after all a bigger loan just means you're voodoo doll is more expensive, possibly more expensive then a simple assassin, so the current consequences are in my opinion too low), but the maximum loanable amount could be higher. But the proposed loaning benefits to Cealdish should probably make Devi be a more useful feature.

 Thank you. :)

Oops. Not entirely sure how I did that. >>

You weren't double tapped deliberately. :P Jondesu hit you, and... someone else. I'm not actually sure - it's not marked in the spreadsheet, oddly enough.

Thsi is something I've been considering as well. It does make sense, but it makes Devi effectively unused. I think one person used her this game, maybe, and one last game? Maybe two? Which is kind of sad.

Yay! Hooray to El for a magnificent game. Out of curiosity, did my silver tounge really keep me alive for the whole game? I think in a way I was laboring, look at the whole stick thing, by taking all the pent up, undirected suspicion of me and throwing it at people who I wanted dead. Was everyone just playing me along i n the thread and really talking in PM's? I wondered because @queensteph had proof I was a skindancer. I am on mobile non but later In will post a list of everyone I sabotaged and why. In the meantime, @Burnt Spaghetti take a look at this --

Burnt rarely plays here anymore - it wouldn't really be fair to her to kill her D1, when she’s come back specifically for the game.  ” There was some fighting about sabbing Burnt early on, and an order was actually put in here, and only some very good reflexes from HH spared her, we probably could have won :(

GG though.

You were alive for the whole game mostly because everyone kept forgetting about you and wrapped up in other problems, in my opinion. There are a few people who would've actually called you out, but most of the players left in the game were newer (or quieter, see Burnt), which helped.

Ah heh yea. I saw that in the elim doc heh. I was so so close to dying >> there was a reason why i was fleeing to the imre to buy a gram asap :P i highly suspected i was a viable target. Thank you for not instakilling me!! Sorry i made you lose but thats my job! You guys were a good evil team. You were better organised than my lg18 skindancer team :1 (we had no idea what we were doing)

--

So that was oodles of fun :) i was extremely happy that i got the name of bone as i had decided that my goal in the game was to bonestorm someone- the way i had died in LG18. So i was pleased to have been able to do this :)

I also had good fun making a friend out of an assasin :1 i probably shoulda tried to get to know the bodyguard pk kindly gave me but. I forgot about him (RIP bodyguard).

I. Was a tad OP. I approve of the changes suggested that balance it all out.

Expelled vintish is OP regardless of naming ability. There were times where i could causually throw 50 talents around in one turn and buy an assasin and gram all at once. Ideas: expelled vintish are disliked a lot more and so items cost more. And perhaps when theres a coin flip over an items purchase, change it so the vintish has a lesser chance of getting the item cause they're less liked or something. Or maybe the vintishes daddy is not pleased with their expulsion and gives them a lower stipend. Idk.

Also. @Alvron, im touched that one of the first things you say in the evil doc is asking if you get to have me as a teammate :]

Oh and catalvicons are totally a thing i can make you :1 when i have time ill give them a go :1

Well you are at the very top of the list of who I want to be evil with.  I think the two of us would have a lot of fun in a Doc together.

Yay!  You're the best Burnt.  Ghetti is a close second though. :P

well, I'll be taking a break from SE for a while, unless I can get my brother to join a game

Does this mean you're abandoning games in progress, or just that you won't join any new ones?

It's about time this game gets locked up. Despite Lopen's horribly bloodthirsty dice (really though. His were much worse than mine), I think this game went rather well. Certainly an improvement to the first run, and I'm quite excited to see the third run of this - with a new and improved spreadsheet to boot! Congratulations to the village for the win, and well-done to the skindancers as well. You put up a merry chase right to the end and there were plenty of times it could've gone either way. It was both fun to watch and to play.

As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, just get a hold of GammaMeta, Alvron, or myselfNot only will we get you added to the list (and the GM PM group), but we'll be more than willing to help out in any way we can. You can also post game ideas, ask questions, and get feedback from everyone over in our Art of Game Creation thread too. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're working on.

Thanks again to everyone who played and we look forward to killing seeing you in future games!
