Arrae
NeLaar repressed a shudder. Rem looked furious, and that box of chalk wouldn't do anything if Rem wanted to hurt NeLaar. "Er, let's go to that Terris restuarant," he said, fighting to keep a quiver out of his voice. Fire was bad. Fire was very, very bad. And finding out Rem's real identity would not be worth getting burned again. Chasmfiend, was that a case of Epic-caused temper or actual annoyance/anger?
Clockwork
"Yes, lets go." Remar turned quickly and stopped- it was as if he couldn't move past it. "What? Oh. I keep forgetting about that. Aaron, dismiss the lines, please." "Ok, but no killing. I know you hate it when I shred you." Aaron placed his chalk against the line, and it disappeared. "There." Remar went to the door and waited for the others to join him. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Actual anger. Epics don't have epic rage anymore. He hates being told he is something that he isn't, and gets angry easily. But, though he could do that to Nelaar, he's trying to reform himself (he's always been criminal. He killed people before Calamity happened. ) That's why he tries to stay near Aaron.
Arrae
Rem walked to the door and stopped. NeLaar looked around. Len had drifted off from the conversation (was he inspecting the walls?), Aaron was doing something with his chalk (had that line just disappeared?), and Rem was... still standing at the door. NeLaar cast another desperate glance at the other two men. He didn't want to be close to someone who had threatened to break his bones and burn him with fire. Fire...fire was bad. NeLaar blinked, and suddenly he was back inside the firepit again, and the flames were chewing at his flesh and blood poured from his knife wounds and he screamed and screamed and -- NeLaar blinked furiously. Snap out of that, he told himself. That never happened. You're not a kandra, you've never been to First of the Sun, you've never been burned alive -- Harmony, he was shaking. He wiped the sweat off of his forehead with the back of his hand. Terris. He could do a Terrisman. Neryl, that was it. A quiet man with distant Terris ancestry going out for a meal with friends. Neryl blinked. This building really needed better ventilation; he was sweating. Hopefully the restaurant would have a more agreeable temperature. He walked to the door and turned towards Rem. "Shall we go eat?" he asked.
