More rule Clarifications:

Can I change someone's vote for governor?

Yes

About the dagger kill:

Only active votes get the dagger. So if mailliw votes for wilson, who gets stabbed, and mailliw's vote is bribed or retracted, Mailliw doesn't get the dagger.

Are there infinite items available to buy from the constables?

No. There is a set amount of each Item. And a set amount of Boxings.

These are definitely rule clarifications:

Is it possible for items to not work properly?:

only under special circumstances. For example, if Mailiw gets to snarky, and has a medkit used on him, it might kill him instead of protect him. Same with the warrant. and the ledgers. and Voting. And breathing. (Honestly if Mailliw snarks at all, his character will become a pinata.)(And I will have fun)

Other than that, no, Items will always do exactly as stated.

Oh, we're banning snark, are we? Ha.

Turn 1: A Murder in the Senate

Constable-General Yosef of the First Precinct straightened his uniform and holstered his baton. He looked over himself with a critical eye in the Governor's mirror. He needed to look perfect for this. He could ill afford to cast shame on the Governor's reputation.

Satisfied with his uniform, he turned to face the Governor, and his long time friend. Matthew Machmuller had done much good in his time in power. He had established cities, built canals, forged laws and cast down corruption. He could have retired several years ago and been remembered a hero, the greatest Governor since the Lord Mistborn himself. Admittedly, that only required being better than the previous two governors, but it was still a nice title.

There was a knocking at the door. Machmuller glanced up from his work but continued writing. “Yosef, see who it is.”

“Of course sir.” He marched to the door and cracked it open. His assistant, Heatherlocke, stood at attention on the other side.

Heatherlocke saluted. “All twenty-two senators and their aides have arrived sir. They are ready to begin the conference whenever the Governor wishes to see them.”

“Good. Stay there. I’ll inform him.” Yosef closed the door and walked back to the desk. “You heard that I assume?”

“Of course I did.” Matthew put the quill down on the desk and straightened up in his seat, lifting his glass of wine as he did. “Do you think we’ll get them Yosef?”

“Of course we will sir. These twenty-two are the only ones who have been rumoured to be corrupt. If they are, we’ll find them.”

Machmuller smiled and raised his glass. “To prosperity in Elendel.” He tipped his glass and drank deeply. He sighed as he finished and stood, putting the glass back on the desk. “I’d offer you a drink, but you’d refuse as always.”

“Of course sir. An officer on duty is to remain sober at all times.”

“Spoilsport.” He walked around the desk, then grunted, nearly stumbled, and grabbed onto the corner to support himself. “Rust.”

“Sir? Are you ok?”

“No,” he grabbed at his chest, “No I’m not okay. Something’s wrong.”

Yosef reached an arm out to support him, but before he could, Machmuller fell to his knees, grabbed his stomach and vomited. He coughed and fell to one side.

“Sir! We need to get you to a hospital right away! Heatherlocke! Get in here!”

“No. . .” The Governor wheezed in another breath. “Poisoned. . . Find my killers. . . They have to be here. . . The Wine. . .”

“I. . . Of course sir.”

“At least. . . the wine. . . was good.” He smiled as his eyes drifted shut, and he breathed out one last painful breath.

The door was slammed open, and Heatherlocke ran in followed by the two constables who had been guarding the door. “Sir! What’s happening- Harmony!” They all stopped in their tracks.

Yosef slowly rose to his feet, quivering with barely contained rage. He turned to face the trio of Constables, and drew himself up to his full height. “Heatherlocke, Wilson. Guard the Door. Nobody come inside this room. Nobody. Direct them to me. Clancy, come with me.”

The Constables saluted and fell in behind him as he strode out of the room.

Patience relaxed in his chair as he watched the other senators mill about, idling chatting about inconsequential things, unknowing that their governor wouldn’t be coming to greet them. A simple, painless death. A heart attack in his old age. There would be some suspicions, but nothing could be proven. He and his fellows would be free to scheme in peace. Especially once he took the chair of the Governor.

The double doors behind the Governor’s podium were pushed open, and a group of constables marched out, batons in hand. Patience leaned forward, suddenly tense as they lined up in front of the governor’s desk, facing the suddenly silent senators. The Constable-General stepped forward and cleared his throat.

“You were asked here today by Governor Matthew Machmuller, in order to root out corruption in the ranks of the Senate. The Governor had a plan to do so, but that is no longer relevant. He was poisoned less than an hour ago, and lies dead in his office.”

He turned, and began to walk slowly across the dias where the Governor’s chair podium sat. “His dying request was for me to find his killers I will be doing so. As of now, this building is in lockdown. I sent out messages to the other generals, and constables have been streaming in. Nobody will be entering or exiting this building, until the murderers have been found.”

He reached the end of the dias, and spun about. “We will be talking with each of you privately, asking you your whereabouts, and doings since arriving here. During that time, you may feel free to tell us anything about any of the other senators that might be relevant to the Investigation. Once we believe we have enough evidence to arrest you, Constable Wilson will escort you to the Holding cells beneath this building, where Constable Heatherlocke will keep you under lock and key.”

The General spun to face the constables on stage. “Go.”

As the Constable began to stream off the desk, each one heading for a different senator, Patience crushed the armrest of his chair in his fist. “Rust and Ruin. This is going to be a long day.”

I'm sorry? Why are you not voting for ALEXANDRA ROTEC? She will have you destroyed for this, but you will get cookies if you vote for her.

Rotec is the name of failure. Trump is the name of success, i'm a deal maker who can get us the win. Unless of course you're corrupt then you dont want me as Governor.

I agree. Giving a random player an extra two votes sounds a little dangerous to me.

Also, any Villagers with a knife, please, please don't use it. It gains us nothing at this stage. There is no alignment reveal, and you are more likely to hit a teammate than an enemy.

I'm having trouble imagining any situation in which the use of drugs helps the Village. Does anyone else have any ideas in that regard?
