And Forgery and Soulcasting seem to be very similar in manipulating the soul of things. The Soulcasting works mainly with the Cognitive Aspect of the target, with no or little change on the Spiritual. With that you may change only the matter/energy of the target. The Forgery works mainly with the Spiritual Aspect of the target. With Forgery you rewrite the Target's History changing the target's spiritual connections with place, people, time,ecc.... Anyway someone asked to mister Sanderson if the Forgery may be used for gaining the Elantrian's status and he said that you may use it to have an Elantrian look but you can't gain the AonDor through this method. QUESTIONCould Shai soul Forge herself into becoming an Elantrian?BRANDON SANDERSON (PARAPHRASED)That would be really hard. First of all, she'd have to change where she's born, then soul Forge the fact that she became an Elantrian. Even then, she'd probably look like an Elantrian, but not have any powers. To my knowledge Atium compounding gets harder the longer you live. Eventually the Lord Ruler would have died despite Atium compounding because his spirit knew it was supposed to be aging. When Vin took away his bracers, his spirit took over and he aged so rapidly they could watch it. The Fifth heightening gets around this by stocking the soul with so much investiture that it no longer perceives itself as being aged. So it preserves the body. It requires energy from the dor to keep the object from "snapping" back to the way it truly is (the same way, as you mentioned, the lord ruler needed constant atium burning), and depends heavily on plausibility. It is far easier to say I learned a second language a few years ago than to say I was raised bilingual when your goal is a second language.
