I'm still pretty young, I've got plenty of time to figure stuff out, but I'm just... confused, stressed, at a bit of a loose end, trying to find some sort of purpose. Draginon
Not exactly bad but more a ‘I’m getting tired of this’ thing. Disney Cruise released their October-December 2021 dates and I wanted to have a different itinerary than what my mother wanted. So far here’s what our previous and upcoming cruises are: Cruise 1 Bahamas 3 day (Nassau and Castaway Cay), Cruise 2&3 Bahamas back to back 3 & 4 day (Same ports as Cruise 1), Cruise 4 November 2020 Western Caribbean 7 day (Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Castaway Cay) and Cruise 5 spring break 2021 same as Cruise 1. The cruise she decided on was a repeat of the back to back meaning with 7 cruises we’ll have visited the exact same places 6 times! You can see why I’m getting sick of that trip and destinations. Unfortunately she refuses to budge from November and December so we’re stuck with the Bahamas or doing a Caribbean trip if we leave from Port Canaveral but if we do Miami at least the Bahamas includes Key West and if we do Galveston it’s at least western Caribbean or a Key West and Castaway Cay trip. The ones I really want to do though only happen during spring and summer so I’m screwed with her unwillingness to budge on dates or to get a trip that fits the schedule if we flew out instead of wasting time driving to Florida from Texas. To show how silly her unwillingness is there was an Eastern Caribbean trip (I would’ve preferred this trip tbh) that fit the timeframe perfectly but because it left on Sunday, and since she only wants to drive, it meant having to rush there after work on Friday and drive pretty much nonstop on Saturday. She refused to even consider flying in on Saturday, spend the night at the hotel at Orlando International and take the Disney bus to the port.

Zelly
Rambling stressed teacher venting below (I feel like I post one of these every Fall and Spring ) Spoiler I'm just so, so, so tired. Our elementary school is going all virtual for the first 9 weeks. I'm relieved for everyone's safety. But we've spent the last week doing enormous amounts of training on programs that are brand new to us. We're learning to make websites, creating online assignment and content, streaming videos, etc. We're learning new reading and math programs that aren't even related to virtual learning (why????). And thing is, we've had so much training and follow up Q&A sessions that we have barely had the time to use what we've learned. The sheer amount of information has been overwhelming. On top of this we're having 1-1 meetings with parents and students next week, so we're frantically unpacking and making our rooms look presentable. And some, very few students with various needs, will be present in class everyday. The worst part is, we still don't know anything. What times can students log in? How much work is expected daily? When will live sessions be and how long? How are we making various accommodations? What are the few present students doing all day and who is teaching them? They are good questions that I know parents will (and should ) be asking next week, but we don't have answers. I know we'll be okay, this will all pass, and we'll learn as we go......but in the mean time it's working 12 hour days, feeling confused and inept.

revelryintheart
You know those days where everything just seems to go wrong? That was me today. We sang in choir for the first time this school year. I basically haven't sang since March, since I don't like singing in front of my family and we can't sing in church. So today was my first time singing in a long time. I don't have very much confidence in my singing to begin with, and today I think it dropped to pretty much zero. I sounded awful. I couldn't get the correct breath ratio, my range had drastically decreased, and I couldn't project at all. What made it even worse was hearing the other people around me because I'm surrounded by AMAZING singers (in in the school's top choir but sometime I wonder how I even got in). So I'm hoping that I was just having an off day, but I'm kinda scared that if will take a while to get my voice back to normal. Also my choir teacher has started using Canvas, but I'm not used to having choir assignments on Canvas, so I forgot to check Canvas and ended up missing two assignments that she has since locked. And you know those times when people but you for no good reason? Like you just get annoyed at someone for existing? That was me today I don't know why. And one of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask me "are you ok?" I don't like talking about my feelings so I absolutely despise that question. Then after school I was scheduled to go to a job/hiring paperywork training thing for my new job, but the HR manager wasn't there. After forever of waiting and eventually talking to customer service, I got to sit there for 2 1/2 hours watching videos. Plus I was super hungry the entire time (I didn't eat lunch) so that made it really hard to focus. Also I have a ton of homework tonight.

If you're in the top choir, there's a reason, and I'm sure your voice will be back to normal soon! My fall show just got completely cancelled, which I'm really upset about, I was going to have a super fun part. I was a Chinese gambler (male) parading as a Christian convert. But, now it's cancelled, and we won't be able to do it at all, so that really stinks. Edited August 25, 2020 by DramaQueen

Mat
I... just am feeling really down today. Like all the feelings from the past months decided to just show up. I'm swamped, but not the overworked kind. The kind where I've been stuck inside my house since March. The kind where I was looking forward to school starting. But it's online. The kind where I just want to go back to church, to see any of my friends, which I haven't and who I haven't since March either. The kind where I was going to get my first summer job, but no. I'm swamped. With so much nothing that it's depressing. But this community is just so... amazing, it probably has saved my day. And my year. The Forum Games that I've messed around in the last hour and the theories and stuff I've read and the RP's and the people here- it just is so uplifting, especially right now. So thank you. And thank you, this thread, for existing. Because I really needed to put this into words.

Briar King
I’m so rusting wound up today..ex wife was supposed to be getting the kids out of Laura’s path so I was much more chill for the past few hours till about 40 minutes ago. She telling me they are staying and reevaluating that plan for the AM. Only 16 miles north of me here in Lake Charles still well in the 115mph wind cone up there. I’m sweating this one big time unlike others I’ve been through. Phew. I’m a wreck.
