+Slowswift
But doesn't the Dor work differently than the other magic systems? Or am I misinterpreting WoB again?
Eagle of the Forest Path
That's a really good point. So by that logic it would almost have to be based on the guilt the person feels. Not necessarily. We know that the spiritual realm holds connections between people. It seems logical that these connections would depend on interactions between those people (or people and objects, people and places etc.) It doesn't seen farfetched to me that positive interactions and negative interactions would create (or reinforce/influence) different types of connection. So Aon Kii could determine guilt by detecting negative spiritual connections. And to counter the Nightblood parallel: however incredible and powerful it(he?) turned out, Nightblood is still a creation of two people who basically didn't know what in damnation they were doing. There is also a difference between evil and guilt. Evil is a motivation for an action, guilt is whether or not one performed said action.

Argent
So Aon Kii could determine guilt by detecting negative spiritual connections. I don't know, it seems a bit of a stretch to assume that an Aon can assess the quality of a Spiritual connection. Identify that they exist, sure, I can buy that. But their type? I think a cognitive component would be required for that, and I don't think we've seen an Aon with a cognitive effect yet (except for maybe Elantris' Rao, but that's a bit of a special case). Eagle of the Forest Path
Aons with cognitive effect, how about: When used in AonDor, Aon Ene emits what is commonly referred to as the "Light of the Mind." Anyone who is touched by the light has their mental capabilities enhanced. They can memorize more quickly, reason more clearly, and stave off the mental-diminishing effects of illness or lack of sleep. It can also be used as a Linking Aon, joining lists of Aons together and determining when their effects will activate. It is used extensively and any Master of AonDor is skilled in its use. and In AonDor, Aon Omi would emit a pure white light. Anyone touched by this light would have their negative emotions removed, replaced with a feeling of serenity and peace, making actively maintaining a sense of hatred difficult. It is peculiar in that it requires the Elantrian drawing it to feel sincere affection for those around them, making it one of the few Aons that requires anything except the ability to draw it. When used as a modifier it will link lines of Aons together or, if used correctly, serve as a minor power enhancer. Note that Aon Omi requires sincere affection from the Elantrian, another type of spiritual connection (possibly), to work. Argent
Why do I not know of these things?
Stormgate
Because you are apparently not an AonDor nerd. I'm still waiting for Aon modifiers.
