I have to admit that I don't like it. The art is just plain ugly. And I also think that Hetalia is just completely detached from reality. I mean, it tries to make fun of stereotypes fo each country, but then it fails just miserably. Somehow sometimes I have the feeling that the stereotype it attaches to a particular country, shouldn't be attached to that country is what I mean. It is funny at times, but usually it just tries too hard, or even goes to far with the joke (Japanese-style). Maybe it's just not my thing, I guess, my sense of humour doesn't match it. Or maybe I compare it too much with Polandball everytime I see it, because recently I saw a lot of Polandball around internet. Just happened to me. Don't know. xD

I guess it's just not your style, anime. I like it. I guess you don't.

The stereotypes they assign are bizarre and seemingly random.  The comedy is also overly fast-paced with really shallow barely-jokes.  It was originally a webcomic, so go figure.  I could only stand a few episodes.

Oh, I can agree with that. Especially the randomness of stereotypes bothers me, because that destroys all the comedy the anime tries to create. I can't laugh at stereotype when there is no such stereotype...
